유도 관련 학문적 연구동향- 석·박사 학위논문을 중심으로 - (The Analysis on the Tendency of Academic Study of Judo in Korea: Focused on Research Trend in Master's Theses & Doctoral Dissertations)

초록

본 연구의 목적은 지난 60년대부터 현재까지 국내 대학의 학위논문을 중심으로 유도연구의 동향을 살펴보고 향후 유도연구의 방향성을 탐색하는 것이다. 연구문제로는 연구기간 동안의 학위별 논문, 연도별 논문, 세부전공별 논문, 학위별 세부전공 논문, 연구대상별 논문, 연구방법별 논문 등의 빈도를 분석하는 것으로 설정하였다. 자료 수집은 2013년 5월 20일부터 6월 14일까지 4주간 국회도서관 논문검색 서비스에서 ‘유도’, ‘judo', ‘유술', ‘무술'이라는 키워드를 통해 검색되는 자료 중 스포츠 또는 무도로서 ‘유도’와 연관된 연구물 704편을 분석 대상으로 선정하였다. 분석대상을 목록으로 작성하고, 함께 제공되는 서지정보를 바탕으로 목록에 맞게 분류하였다. 분류절차는 전문가 집단을 활용하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 빈도분석을 통해 결과를 도출하였다. 그 결과, 학위별 논문 편수에서는 석사학위논문 654편, 박사학위논문 50편이었으며, 연도별 논문 편수에서는 2000년대부터 양적 팽창이 급격하였음을 밝혔다. 세부전공별 논문 편수에서는 상당수 학위논문 연구가 심리학, 측정평가, 생리학, 사회학에 편중되어 있고, 학위별 세부전공 논문에서는 석사학위논문이 비교적 다양한 전공유형을 나타내고 있으나 심리학, 측정평가, 생리학에 다소 편중된 것으로 나타났다. 특히 박사학위논문은 심리학, 생리학에 편중되어 유도연구의 다양성에 한계가 있음이 드러났다. 연구대상별 논문 편수에서는 유도선수를 대상으로 한 논문이 일반인을 대상으로 하는 연구에 비해 상당히 높은 수준을 나타내면서 생활체육의 한 측면으로서의 유도가 경기 위주의 유도에 비해 그 비중이 높은 현 세태를 반영하고 있었다. 연구유형별 논문 편수에서는 문헌연구 38편, 실험연구 178편, 조사연구 489편 등으로 조사연구에 편중되었음을 알 수 있었다. 이 같은 연구 결과를 토대로 향후 유도연구는 여전히 다양한 방법론적 접근과 전문성 강화가 필요한 연구 분야임을 밝혔다.

The purpose of this study was to examine theses and dissertations of judo in domestic universities over the past five decades in an effort to shed light on a pervasive research trend in judo. The research questions posed in this study were to analyze the number of studies by degree, year, major, subject and research method, the number of theses by major and the number of dissertations by major. Data were gathered during a four-week period of time by entering a keyword "judo" and "ju-jithu", "martial arts" into the paper retrieval system of the National Assembly Library. Among the retrieved data, 704 studies that were associated with judo as a sport or martial art were selected. The selected studies were cataloged, and the bibliography data of the studies that were provided together were printed out and classified according to the lists of the studies. A group of experts was asked to classify the studies, and a frequency analysis was carried out. As for the number of studies by degree, 654 studies were master's theses, and 50 studies were dissertations. Concerning the number of studies by year, there was a rapid increase in the number of studies in and after 2000. Regarding the number of studies by major, a considerable number of studies were concerned about psychology, measurement/evaluation, physiology and sociology. As to the number of theses and dissertations by major, the major of the writers of the theses could be said to be relatively diverse, but many majored in psychology, measurement/evaluation and physiology. Specifically, the major of the dissertation writers was mostly psychology and physiology, which showed that the studies of judo lacked diversity. As for the number of studies by subject, the studies that examined judo players were quite larger in number than the studies that examined people in general. This phenomenon was in line with the current trend that judo was more widespread as one of sports for all rather than as a competitive sport. Concerning the number of studies by research method, 38 studies were literature research, and 178 studies were experimental research. 489 studies were research studies. Thus, research studies were prevailing. Given the findings of the study, it's discussed that judo is a field of study that requires a wide variety of methodological approach and better professionalism.
