대학생 태권도시범단원의 역할갈등 탐색 (Exploration of the Role Conflict of Taekwondo Demonstration University Student Athletes)

초록

이 연구는 대학생 태권도시범단원들이 학생, 학교 시범단, 국가대표급 시범단 활동을 병행하는 중 다중역할 속에서 어떠한 갈등을 겪고 있는지 탐색하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 대학교에 재학 중이면서 학교 시범단과 국가대표급 시범단을 병행한 경험이 있는 연구참여자 8명을 선정하여 심층면담을 통해 자료를 수집하고 질적자료의 분석방법에 따라서 분석을 실시하였다. 연구의 결과는 세 가지로 나타났으며 첫째, 지도자에 의한 역할갈등 둘째, 학업갈등 셋째, 시범단 문화갈등으로 나타났다. 연구참여자들은 다중역할을 수행하면서 각 소속 지도자들간의 의견불일치와 책임회피로 인해 역할갈등을 겪고 있었으며 수업결손과 같은 학업손실에 이어 역할갈등으로 인해 형식적으로 학업을 수행하고 있었다. 또한 태권도시범단이라는 집단 내에서 위계문화와 집단주의를 겪으며 개인의 삶에서 갈등이 일어나고 있었다. 이를 통해 대학생 태권도시범단원들의 역할갈등을 탐색할 수 있었으며 향후 대학생 태권도시범단원들의 역할갈등에 대한 순응과 저항 그리고 지도자들의 갈등까지 조명하여 태권도시범문화의 성찰에 대한 지속적인 진단을 기대한다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study was to explore what kind of conflict Taekwondo demonstration university student athletes are experiencing in the performance of multiple roles such as students and demonstration team members, school demonstration team and national team‐level demonstration team activities. For this, eight research participants who were attending universities and had experience of conducting as a member of school demonstration teams and national team‐level demonstration teams were selected. Data was collected through in‐depth interviews and analyzed according to the qualitative data analysis method. The results of the study came out in three ways, and they are as follows. They are first, role conflict by leaders, second, academic achievement conflict, and third, demonstration team cultural conflict. As the participants of the study performed multiple roles, they were experiencing role conflicts due to disagreements and evasion of responsibility among the leaders of each organization. In particular, they suffered academic achievement losses due to class defects, and was formally performing academic studies due to role conflicts. Also, within the group called Taekwondo demonstration team, conflicts were occurring in the individual's life through hierarchical culture and collectivism. Through this, this study explored the role conflict of Taekwondo demonstration university student athletes, and in the future, it is expected that constant diagnosis to reflect on Taekwondo demonstration culture is needed through Illuminating adjustment and resistance to the role conflicts of Taekwondo demonstration university student athletes, and leaders' conflicts.
