감성분할의 은-현 기제: 주역의 점(占)과 상(象) 사이의 명분생성의 구조 (The Hidden-the Marked Mechanism of the Distribution of the Sensible: on the Structure of Emerging a Ming-fen Between Divination and Image in Zhouyi)

초록

이 글은 『주역』의 占-象의 관계구조를 점문자의 심적 과정에서 하나의 새로운 의미(new meaning)가 생성되는 구조, 즉 『주역』 형식의 의미가 발생하는 ‘隱-顯 기제’로써 파악하고, 이 의미발생의 과정을 랑시에르(Rancière)의 ‘감성분할’(the distribute of the sensible)의 개념을 추론 도구로 사용하여, 모종의 실천근거로서의 ‘명분생성’이 형성되는 과정이라는 점을 밝힐 것이다.
『주역‧계사전』의 대연지수(大衍之數) 장에서 제시된 이른바 ‘4營18變’의 개념은 점의식(ritual process of divination) 과정을 기록하고 있는 문헌적 근거로 평가된다. 이 글에서 4영18변 개념은 바로 占과 象 사이에서 새로운 의미가 발생하는 심리적 기제(machanism)임을 밝히고, 4영18변의 점산 과정이 인류 무속절차의 기본적 유형, 즉 占問-占算-占斷-占驗이라는 4단계 중의 두 번째 단계인 ‘점산’ 과정에 속하며, 이 과정에서 얻은 점괘, 즉 역사(易辭)는 곧 ‘역상(易象)’이 된다는 점을 이론적 근거로 채택할 것이다.
또 4영 18변의 점산 과정은 맨 아래 초효로부터 가장 위의 상효까지 점문자가 ‘점문’을 통해 추구하는 점괘(易辭=易象)의 ‘의미’가 점문자의 심리기제 속에서 점점 뚜렷하게 형성되어 가는 의미발생의 『주역』적 형식의 기제, 즉 은(隱)-현(顯)의 기제임을 확인하고, 나아가 이 은-현 기제를 통해 얻은 易辭=易象은 바로 점문자가 위기탈출의 프레임으로 사용하게 될 ‘명분’이 ‘생성’되는 심리기제, 즉 ‘명분생성’의 기제가 된다는 점을 밝힌다.
따라서, 이 글은 4영 18변의 점의식 절차가 易占으로부터 易象을 얻는 과정이라는 점에 착안하여 첫째, 점문자의 ‘위기탈출 프레임’의 의미가 ‘은미함(隱)’에서 ‘드러남(顯)’으로 진행되는 과정으로써, 즉 ‘은-현 기제’로써의 특징을 지닌다는 점을 논증할 것이며, 둘째, 이 과정은 ‘새로운 의미’가 발생하는 ‘명분생성’의 기제이기도 하다는 점을 랑시에르의 ‘감성분할’ 개념을 원용하여 논증할 것이다.

영어초록

I will discuss the Yi-ological structure that form a new-meaning between Xiang(symbols) and Zhan(divination) in the mind of Yi-asker(divinatory agent) in Zhouyi as a structure in which a new meaning is created in the mental process of divination, that is, a ‘the hidden-the marked(or emerged) mechanism’ in which the meaning be occurred by Zhouyi style, and reveal that ‘Ming-fen(action-justification)’ is formed as a kind of practical basis by applying Rancière’s concept of ‘the distribution of the sensible’ as an inferring tool.
In the chapter of Dayanzhishu (the numbers in great operation) of Xici-Zhuan(the great appendix chapter), the process of critical procedure of the so-called ‘4-operations and 18-step-changes’(4O-18C) is a psychological mechanism in which a new meaning arises between Zhan(divination) and Xiang(symbol), and it will be adopted as a theoretical basis that the procedure of meaning-generation in the 4O-18C belongs to the ritual process of divination, and it is the second of four stages of human shamanism: Zhan-wen(divinatory asking), Zhan-su an(divinatory-counting), Zhan-duan(divinatory judging), and Zhan-yan(divinatory validating), and that the Yi-ci(divinatory words & phrases) obtained in this process, that is Yi-ci(words and phrases in Zhouyi) just become a “Yi-xiang(symbols in Zhouyi).” In addition, I will confirm that the ‘meaning’ of the Yi-ci(divinatory phrases=divinatory symbols) through the ritual process of divination on the 4O-18C pursued by the Yi-ci from the Chu-yao(the bottom line-words in hexagram) step by step to the Shang-yao(the top line-words in hexagram) is the mechanism of the Zhouyi form in generating of the new meaning, which is becoming step by step clearly formed a ‘meaning’ for the divinatory-asker in the psychological mechanism through the divinatory-words, that is the Yi-ci=Yi-xiang obtained through the hidden-the marked mechanism reveals that the ‘Ming-fen’ that will be used as a reference as action-frame for escape from the crisis becomes the psychological mechanism that is ‘Ming-fen(the action-justification)’.
Therefore, in this article I firstly demonstrate that the meaning of the ‘escaping frame from crisis’ indicated in divinatory-words is a process of obtaining Yi-xiang from Yi-zhan, focusing on the fact that the consciousness procedure by the 4O-18C is a process from “Yin(the hidden)” to “Xian (the revealed/the marked)” and that it is characterized as a “Yin-Xian mechanism,” and secondly, I also demonstrate by applying Rancière’s concept “the distribute of the sensible” that this process is also a mechanism for ‘the generating of Ming-fen’ in which ‘new meaning’ be occurred.
