The history of Korean national identity in relation with Bakdusan have shaped up from Koguryo period. It have been succeeded to unified Silla and Koryo dynasty blending with a belief in Munsoo Bodhisattva and mountain worship. These cultural tradition was received to privately owned Confucian field in Choseon dynasty. And it seems that this tradition of belief in Munsoo Bodhisattva and mountain worship infused into Yeojin, finally making terminology Manchulia to mark a symbol of their identity after Ching(淸) dynasty. The title Yeojin(女眞) was turned to Manchulia(滿洲) and though this expression have argument about its etymological origin, official elucidation was proclaimed the meaning of Manchulia(滿洲) in relation to Munsoo(文殊) Bodhisattva in The origin of Manchulia ≪滿洲源流考≫ Further, this historical material refers that their ancestor Pogoriyongsun(布庫哩雍順) established a tribe and it originated from the name of the tribe. This have also close connection with Munsoo Bodhisattva in Bakdusan(白頭山).
In other words, the religion blending with a belief in Munsoo Bodhisattva and mountain worship already had been existed from Koguryo period, it have been succeeded to unified Silla and Korea dynasty before the Royal House of Chong have regarded Bakdusan as a sacred birthplace. So it is quite within the realms of possibility that the etymological origin of Manchulia(滿洲) adhere closely to Korean religion of Bakdusan.
For this reason through the alteration of name Yeojin to Manchulia(滿洲) they were realized following self identity establishment of Chong. This fact reconfirms not only they had been nations sharing a common destiny with Koguryo ever since Malgal(靺鞨) in the past but also maked the most use of systematizing integration of mountain worship and Buddhism.
Therefore the research of the term Manchulia(滿洲) acertains that the matrix of Yeojin(女眞) had been very deeply connected with Korean historical system going back to the Korea, unified Silla, Balhae, Koguryo.
