초록

This study deals with the academic meaning on The study of history of political system in the Koryo dynasty written by Byeon Tae-seob in 1971. The status of this book stands in a unique position in the research of history of political system in the Koryo dynasty. Especially the articles about the central political system in this book are guidepost.
Even though Koryo admitted the system of Dang and Song dynasty, they established the system with its own way. This viewpoint impacts the current research.
He studied the core political system in the Koryo, suggested the overall and systematic understanding. In the study of Jungseomunhaseong he revealed that Seongjae and Seongrang were separated, and Jaechu and Daegan had become of the political unit. Unlike Dang dynasty system, Jungseosung and Munhaseong were combined with a single organization called Jungseomunhaseong. Jungseomunhaseong had the minister but Sangseoseong hadn't, so Jungseomunhaseong was the higher level organization than Sangseoseong. And Jaesin holded the Pansa of the 6 administrations. He suggested the characters of the system of Sangseoseong were different from Dang dynasty. And he proved the 6 administrations could express directly to the king. Instead of 3 Sung and Jungchuwon, Dodang was the supreme power organization in the latter of the Koryo.
Most of the conclusion in his study, which was the orthodox view and had a good academic achievement. His research had a broad view point, logical interpretation, brief explanation, and delicate demonstration. And then his study has given great stimuli and debates to the scholars. This situation shows his study has vitalities and influences these days.
