현행 『한국근·현대사』교과서의 1930~40년대 민족독립운동사의 서술실태와 개선방안 (The Descriptive Contents and Improvement Scheme of the National Independence Movement History of 1930s and 1940s in Korean Modern？Contemporary History Textbooks in 7th Curriculum Period)

초록

The 7th National Curriculum emphasizes on the enhancement of self-autonomy ability in an era of globalization and information and on student-oriented learning for their aptitude, ability and occupation. The significant amendment about history education in 7th Curriculum was that 『Korean Modern․Comtemporary History』was constituted separately as selective concentration subject in high school. The textbook of 『Korean Modern․Comtemporary History』was also converted into an authorized textbook. This change has both merits and demerits. There is a probability of differentiation among descriptive contents in textbooks, while a variety of textbook has many positive aspects in that students are able to encounter various views according to the authors of textbook.
So, if there is differentiation among descriptive contents in the six 『Korean Modern․Comtemporary History』 textbooks now in use, according to the textbook students are able to understand differently the modern and comtemporary history of Korea. In addition, it is needed to go over descriptive contents in textbooks for there is discrepancy among descriptive contents or the recent studies by historians of Korea have not been reflected enough in descriptive contents of some textbooks.
The Part Ⅲ of the six textbooks now in use newly shows the facts related to a left wing's organizations which were not described before. In particular, since socialists' Independence Movement is shown seriously in the Part Ⅲ, there is considerable differentiation in the subjects about Korea Independence Army(한국독립군), Joseon Revolutionary Army(조선혁명군), Joseon Volunteer Corps(조선의용대), Joseon Volunteer Forces(조선의용군), Korea Independence Army(광복군), Dong-Book-Hang-Il-Yon-Kun(동북항일연군), Socialism, and a Peasant and Labor movement.
The purpose of this study is to confirm the differentiation of descriptive contents and to suggest an improvement scheme for it through investigating only Part Ⅲ. The Development of National Independence Movement in the six 『Korean Modern․Comtemporary History』 textbooks now in use.
