해방 후 고등학교 한국사 교과서의 근대 교통사 서술의 변천 (Change of description of history of modern transportation in Highschool Korean History Textbook after emancipation.)

초록

본고는 해방 이후 고등학교 한국사 교과서의 근대 교통사와 관련된 서술의 변천을 교과서의 발행제도를 기준으로 교수요목기~제2차 교육과정기(제1차 검정기), 제3차 교육과정~제6차 교육과정기(국정기), 제7차 교육과정~2009 개정 교육과정기(제2차 검정기)의 세 시기로 나누어 살펴본 것이다. 또한 각 교육과정기의 국사교육 목표를 분석하여 한국사 교육에 대한 해당 시기 정부의 관점을 살핀 후 이러한 목표와 관점이 교과서 서술에 어떻게 반영되었는가도 파악하였다. 그리고 이를 바탕으로 각 교육과정기의 근대교통 서술을 비교하여 같은 점과 다른 점을 비교, 검토하였다.
본고는 20여종의 교과서를 활용하여 해방 이후의 한국사 교과서의 대부분을 참고하였다는 점에서 특장점이 있다. 이는 교과서를 분석 대상으로 한 연구 중 가장 많은 교과서를 이용한 것이라 할 수 있다. 이렇게 함으로써 검정시기에 편찬된 다양한 교과서의 근대 교통사 서술과 검정시기의 근대 교통사 서술의 같은 점과 차이점을 파악할 수 있었다. 이를 통해 한국사 교과서의 근대 교통사 서술은 해방 이후 국정시기에 이르기까지 큰 변화가 없으며, 시기나 필자에 따라 철도나 도로의 서술 대상에 차이가 조금 있다는 점을 확인할 수 있었다.
그러나 제7차 교육과정기에 한국근현대사 과목이 생기면서 근대 교통사 서술은 양적으로나 시각적으로 많은 변화를 보였다. 특히 뉴라이트적 관점에 따른 식민지 근대화론의 공세는 교과서에 식민지 근대화론에 대한 비판적인 시각을 요구하였으며 그것은 교과서 서술에 반영되기도 하였다.
따라서 한국사 교과서는 학생들의 역사인식에 지대한 영향을 미칠 수 있으므로 근대 교통사만이 아니라 한국사 전반에 걸친 올바른 역사인식이 이루어질 수 있도록 서술되어야 한다.

영어초록

This paper will scrutinize on the change of description with regards to history of modern history in Highschool Korean History Textbook after emancipation in three periods: syllabus period~2nd curriculum(1st verifier), 3rd curriculum~6th curriculum(national varifier) and 7th curriculum~2009 amended curriculum(2nd verifier),based on publication criterion. Plus, after looking on the perspective of government of corresponding period about korean history education through analysis on the target of historical education of each curriculum, how aforementioned target and perspective are applied to textbook descriptions is also grasped. Then, based on this, the same or different features were compared with and analysed after comparison of descriptions in each curriculum.
This paper features a strong point with regards to that the paper refers to most of the Korean History Textbooks after emancipation using more than twenty types of textbooks. This number of textbooks used is the highest amongst studies targeting textbooks. Therefore, the same or different features of description of modern transportation history in various textbooks issued during verified periods. Throughout the study, it was perceived that there had not been a big change in description of modern transportation history in Korean History Textbook and that there exist a little differences in target of railroad or road reasoning, depending on the written periods or writers.
However, description in modern transportation history showed a great change quant actively and visually after establishment of Korean Modern History subject in the 7th curriculum. Especially, emerge of colonial modernization theory based on new right perspective required acritical view on colonial modernization theory in textbooks and this was even applied to the description in textbooks.
Therefore, since Korean History Textbook can bring about a great impact on historical perception of the students, the textbooks should be written in a way that right historical perception can be made, throughout not only limited range of modern transportation history but also overall Korean History.
