정재 사(詞)동작의 이론적 토대 마련과 실기방안연구 (A Study on Establishing a Theoretical Basis and a Practical Program for Movements in Jeongjae Sa)

초록

본 논문은 정재에서의 사(詞) 동작을 효율적으로 교육하는 방안을 제시하는데 목적을 두고 50여 정재에 공통적으로 적용되는 내용을 추출하는 방법과 실행하는 구조를정하는 방법에 대해 살펴보았다. 『고려사』「악지」･『악학궤범』･『정재무도홀기』와 의궤의 정재도를 통합 비교하여 선모의 치어와 좌우협무의 창사로 한정하여 수법과 보법으로 구분하여 살펴보았을 때 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다.
정재는 동･서･남･북･전･후･좌･우･내･외 등의 기본구조에 의해 내용들이 중복･반복되고, 일률적으로 진행되는 특징을 가진다. 이러한 특징을 바탕으로 선모와 좌우협무의 사 동작은 무원들마다 엄격한 구분이 있었다. 사 동작의 수법에 있어 선모는 우수에서 좌수로 들고, 좌우협무는 외수에서 내수로 들었다. 사 동작의 족법에 있어 선모는 우족에서 좌족으로 들고, 좌우협무는 내족에서 외족으로 들었다.
실행관점에서 중요한 것은 무엇을 기준으로 한 우수와 좌수, 그리고 외수와 내수인가이다. 이에 대해 살펴보았을 때 선모는 자신을 중심으로 한 오른손과 왼손이고, 좌우협무는 무(舞), 혹은 무대 가운데를 중심으로 한 외수에서 내수로 드는 것을 알 수있었다. 정재 사동작의 수법과 보법은 무원들마다 진행하는 순차가 다름을 알 수 있었고, 선모와 좌우협무가 사 동작을 실행하였을 때 무원들마다 사 동작이 서로 엇갈리는 것을 알 수 있었다. 무엇보다 이러한 사 동작이 정재 공통으로 적용되는 내용임을 확인할 수 있었다.

영어초록

This study focuses on developing a scheme of how to derive comprehensive contents from approximately fifty jeongjaes and establishing a structural practical program for the purpose of efficiently educating movements represented in jeongjaes. An integrated comparison of euigwe儀軌 jeongdaedos in GoryoSa akji 『高麗史』「樂志」, AkhakGwebeom『樂學軌範』, JeongjaeMudoholgi『呈才舞圖 笏記』 led to draw conclusions from an investigation of classified techniques and gaits by confining its scope to seonmo仙母 chieo致語 and symmetrical hyeopmu挾 舞 changsa唱詞, as follows: The jeongjae is characterized by showing overlapped contents by the basic structure based on four cardinal points of the compass, vertical and horizontal contexts, and the interior and exterior relations, as well as by progressing uniformly. On the basis of these characteristics, there existed a clear distinction among dancers' movements to meet the requirement for the movements of sa詞 in seonmo and symmetrical hyeopmu. As far as the movements of sa are concerned, seonmo holds up the left hand instead of right one, while symmetrical hyeopmu the exterior foot instead of the interior one. When it comes to foot movements in sa, seonmo raised the left foot instead of the right one, whereas symmetrical hyeopmu the exterior foot instead of the interior one.
What is of much significance from the perspective of implementation may be the problems of which hand, the right or the left, and which hand, the interior or the exterior, a dancer has to use and on what standards. A close investigation of this matter indicates that seonmo takes the right or the left hand centering around the posture of the dancer herself, while symmetrical hyeopmu the interior instead the exterior hand centering around the dance herself or on the bassis of the center of the stage. Techniques and gaits in jeongjae sa represent different orders of progression with dancers, and dancers perform incongruous movements when seomo and symmetrical hyeopmu are played at the same time. What is important above all is that these sa movemnts are applied to all jeongjaes in common.
