순천 선암사 제영시 연구 (A Study on Recitative Poems of Seonamsa Temple(仙巖寺) in Suncheon)

초록

이 논문은 순천 선암사 題詠詩의 현황과 전개 양상을 살펴보고자한 것이다. 순천 선암사 제영시는 총 61명의 작가가 90수의 작품을남겼다. 유학자 작가 49명 대다수는 현 전라남도 일대에 거주한 지역민이며, 창작시기는 대체로 1800년대에서 1900년대 초기이다. 승려작가 12명의 창작시기는 대개 1600년대부터 시작된다. 한시로 읊은선암사의 주요 문화공간은 선암사, 대승암, 향로암, 강선루, 대각함 및포교당 환선정이다. 작품형식은 7언시가 압도적이다. 순천 선암사 제영시의 전개 양상은 크게 4가지로 나타난다. 첫째, 선암사의 주요 역사 술회이다. 이는 도선의 창건, 대각국사의 중창, 호남제일선원, 講伯의 배출, 純祖 임금의 탄생기도처, 人･天･大福田 어필 편액 등 선암사의 주요 역사와 관련된 내용이다. 둘째, 仙佛 양립의 공간인식 노정이다. 선암사는 佛家이자 신선 관련 내력을 가지고있어서, 시인묵객들이 仙界와 佛界 양면으로 인식하는 것은 당연하다. 이를 강선루 제영시를 통해 확인하고자 하였다. 셋째, 탈번뇌와 깨달음의 정취이다. 이는 주로 탈번뇌를 통한 순수한 자아발견, 불교 전수와 불법의 깨달음에 대한 자각, 등고망원의 幽興과 樂而忘返의 감흥즐김, 月印千江이나 理一分殊와 같은 유불의 사유를 만끽하는 것이다. 넷째, 喚仙亭의 佛地인식과 소회이다. 1913년 이후 불지로 변한 포교당 환선정에 대해 유가 건물로서의 몰락에 대한 안타까움 토로, 金仙 이란 별도 신선의 공간으로 인정, 眞緣을 얻는 공간으로 긍정하는 소회 등이 담겨 있다.

영어초록

The study seeks to examine the status and the embodiment aspects of the recitative poems(題詠詩) of Seonamsa Temple in Suncheon. 61 writers in total created 90 works of the poems of the temple. Most of the 49 writers of Confucian scholars are locals living in the current region of Jeollnam-do; their writing period is generally from 1,800s to the early 1,900s. The writing period of the 12 writers of Buddhist monks generally begins from 1,600s. The temple’s main cultural spaces embodied as sino Korean poetry are Seonamsa Temple, Daeseungam Hermitage, Hyangroam Hermitage, Gangseonru Pavilion, Daegakam Hermitage, and Hwanseonjeong Pavilion of the missionary center. Of the styles of the works, the seven word poem is overwhelming.
The recitative poems of Seonamsa Temple in Suncheon have four main aspects. The first is description of the temple’s main historical events. It has contents related to the temple’s main historical events including the establishment by Doseon, the rebuilding by State Preceptor Daegak, the Best Buddhist Temple in Honam area, the appearance of senior instructors (講伯), the place to pray for the King Sunjo’s birth, and the plaques of the heaven(天), the human(人) and the Daebokjeon(大福田) with King’s Handwriting. The second is a journey into recognizing the space of coexistence between Taoism and Buddhism(仙佛). As Seonamsa Temple has history related to immortals as well as Buddhists(佛家), it is natural that the poets and artists recognize it with both sides of the Taoism world(仙界) and the Buddhism world(佛界). The study has sought to verify it with the recitative poems of Gangseonru Pavilion. The third is the taste of enlightenment and freedom from agony. Mainly, it is finding your pure ego through freedom from agony, teaching Buddhism and awakening yourself on its enlightenment, enjoying the quiet pleasure(幽 興) that standing at a high place allows you to see far and wide and the interest that enjoying so much leads you to forget to return(樂而忘返), and fully enjoying the thought of Confucianism and Buddhism such as one moon shedding light on a thousand rivers(月印千江) and one principle with its many manifestations(理一分殊). The fourth is the recognition and thought of the Buddha-ground(佛地) of Hwanseonjeong Pavilion. It expresses the pity for collapse regarding Hwanseonjeong Pavilion of the missionary center which has been changed to the Buddha ground since 1913, recognizes the pavilion as the Gold Taoism(金仙), a separate space for immortals, and contains a thought to affirm it as a space to achieve True Karma(眞緣).
