삣따 아동의 아유르베다 아로마테라피와 상담의 효과: 단일 사례연구를 중심으로 (The Effects of Ayurvedic Aromatherapy and Counseling for children with constitution of Pitta: Focusing on a single case study)

초록

본 연구는 아유르베다 삣따 체질 아동의 아로마 테라피와 상담의 효과를 알아보는 단일사례연구이다. 본 연구는 2024년 1월 1일부터 시작되었으며, IRB 승인을 받았고 2024년 6 월 25일까지 진행되었다. 연구 참여자는 H시에 거주하는 여초등생(10세)이며, 삣따 체질이다. 참여자는 비염, 호흡기질환, 피부질환을 가지고 있었고, 분노가 많았다. 상담 장소는 본연구자의 연구소에서 이루어졌으며, 기간은 2024년 4월 1일부터 6월 15일까지 주 1회, 12 회기를 하였다. 연구는 회기마다 20분 상담, 20분 아로마 테라피 총 40분간 실시하였다. 아로마오일 선택은 삣따 체질의 불균형으로 나타난 증상들의 균형을 위해 삣따성 오일을 주로 사용하지만, 보조로 비끄리띠를 위해 까파성 오일을 사용하였다. 참여자와 부모가 연구에 동의를 하고 참여하였다. 연구 결과, 참여자는 비염 증상이 완화되고, 자기 강점을 강화시키면서 정서적 안정과 행동이 개선되었다. 초기에는 비염으로 인해 일상생활에서 많은 어려움을 겪었고, 분노 조절의 어려움을 겪었으나, 중재 과정을 통해 신체적, 정서적, 사회적으로 긍정적인 변화를 경험하였다. 행동 변화는 표정이 밝아졌고, 자기주장이 잘 되었으며, 보다 활동적인 보행을 볼 수 있었다. 결론적으로 아로마테라피와 상담은 비염을 치료하였으며, 자존감과 자신감을 회복시켰다. 참여자의 학교와 가정에서 화목한 관계로 개선하는데 기여하였다. 신체적 및 심리적 문제를 가진 참여자가 아로마테라피와 지속적인 상담을받는 경우, 이러한 개입이 긍정적인 변화를 유지하는 데 유의미한 기여를 할 수 있음을 시사한다.

영어초록

This study is a single case study to investigate the effectiveness of aromatherapy and counseling for children with Ayurvedic pitta constitution. This study began on January 1, 2024, received IRB approval, and was conducted until June 25, 2024.The research participant was a 10-year-old female elementary school student living in City H, and had a squeamish constitution. The participant suffered from rhinitis, respiratory disease, and skin disease, and was very angry. The counseling location was held at the researcher's research institute, and the period was 12 sessions once a week from April 1 to June 15, 2024. The study was conducted for a total of 40 minutes, with 20 minutes of counseling and 20 minutes of aromatherapy per session. As for the aroma oil selection, Pittta oil was mainly used to balance the symptoms caused by the imbalance of Pitttta constitution, but as an auxiliary, Kappa oil was used for Vikriti. The research participant is a female elementary school student (10 years old) living in H City and has a Pitta constitution. The participant had rhinitis, respiratory disease, and skin disease and had very angry. Participants and their parents consented to and participated in the study. The study results, showed that participant' rhinitis symptoms were alleviated, and her emotional stability and behavior were improved while strengthening their self-strengths. Initially, the patient experienced many difficulties in daily life due to rhinitis and difficulty controlling anger, but through the intervention process, she experienced positive changes physically, emotionally, and socially. Changes in behavior seen brighter facial expressions, assertiveness, and a lively gait. In conclusion, aromatherapy and counseling cured rhinitis and restored self-esteem and confidence. And it contributed to improving the harmonious relationships at school and home. It is expected that positive changes will continue for participan with physical and psychological problems if they continue to receive aromatherapy and counseling.
