초록

장면 디자인은 애니메이션의 중요한 구성 부분이다. 한 편의 애니메이션은 여러 가지 장면으로 구성된다. 장면은 줄거리 발전의 중요한 토대이자 극 중 캐릭터의 특정한 활동 장소로 강한 표현성을 가진다. 장면 디자인은 분위기를 조성하고 캐릭터의 성격을 표현하며 줄거리의 발전을 추진하는 역할을 하기도 한다. 빛과 그림자의 표현은 장면 디자인에서 중요한 부분이자 작품의 분위기를 표현하는 수단으로 빛과 그림자의 변화에 ​​따라 서로 다른 감정과 느낌을 전달할 수 있다. 2차원 평면에서 입체감을 나타낼 수 있는 수단은 빛과 그림자를 이용하는 것이다. 빛과 그림자를 통해 사물의 질감과 색상, 입체감을 표현하며 서로 다른 빛과 그림자는 차원 변화를 일으켜 공간 조형에서 효과적인 수단으로 사용되기도 한다. 디자이너는 줄거리의 전개에 따라 특정 분위기를 만들기 위해 자연광, 실내조명, 벽난로 등과 같은 다양한 광원 효과를 설정한다. 디즈니의 고전 애니메이션 <포카혼타스(Pocahontas)>에서는 파란색 광원을 대량으로 사용하여 신비롭고 냉철한 분위기를 연출하였고 픽사의 단편 애니메이션 <잭 어택(Jack-Jack Attack)>의 오프닝에서 보모 켈리가 보안국 조사를 받는 신에서는 스포트라이트를 사용하여 자연스럽게 관객의 시선을 얘기하고 있는 대상에게 집중시켰다. 즉 줄거리 전개에 따른 광원의 합리적인 배치는 장면의 분위기를 조성하는 데 중요한 역할을 한다. 애니메이션 장면 디자인에서 빛과 그림자의 중요성을 최대한 활용하여 시각적, 심리적 감성적 요소를 공간에 통합함으로써 감성적으로 의미 있는 공간 환경을 조성한다. 색상, 레이아웃, 조명 등 디자인을 통해 조성되는 감성적 분위기에 영향을 미치는 요소는 다양하다. 빛과 그림자는 사물에 색채를 부여하고 시각적 경험에 영향을 미치는 중요한 요소이며 애니메이션 장면 디자인에서 감정을 만들어내는 데 중요한 역할을 한다.
인간의 무의식 영역에서는 항상 빛나는 대상에 먼저 주의를 기울이고 다음으로 외형에 주의를 기울인다. 빛과 그림자는 강한 모호성을 가지고 있다. 모호함은 사람들의 그림자 경계에 대한 흐릿한 인식과 그림자 공간의 흐릿한 범위에 반영된다. 모호함은 시각에 독특한 매력으로 작용 되며 미지의 감성을 느끼게 한다. 빛의 강도, 방향, 색상 및 질감은 장면을 경험하는 방식에 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 웜톤 계열의 부드러운 조명은 아늑하고 편안한 분위기를 연출할 수 있으며, 어둡거나 부분적인 조명은 신비감이나 긴장감을 조성한다. 사진, 영화, 회화 등 시각예술 분야에서 이미 많은 응용 사례들이 존재한다. 본 연구에서는 빛과 그림자를 통해 투명한 시각적 감각을 조성, 애니메이션 장면에서의 공간감을 강화, 특정한 감정 분위기를 조성하는 세 가지 측면에 초점을 맞추어 애니메이션 장면 디자인에서 빛과 그림자 표현의 중요성을 연구하는 것을 목적으로 한다.

Scene design is an important part of animation. One animation consists of several scenes. The scene is an important foundation for the development of the plot and a place for specific activities of the characters in the play, and has strong expressiveness. Scene design also serves to create atmosphere, express character personalities, and advance the plot. The expression of light and shadow is an important part of scene design and a means of expressing the atmosphere of the work, and can convey different emotions and feelings depending on changes in light and shadow. The way to create a three-dimensional effect on a two-dimensional plane is to use light and shadow. The texture, color, and three-dimensionality of objects are expressed through light and shadow, and different lights and shadows cause dimensional changes and can be used as an effective means in spatial design. Designers set up various lighting effects such as natural light, indoor lighting, fireplaces, etc. to create a specific atmosphere as the plot develops. Disney's classic animation <Pocahontas> used a large amount of blue light to create a mysterious and cold atmosphere, and in the opening of Pixar's short animation <Jack-Jack Attack>, Nanny Kelly is investigated by the security department. In the receiving scene, a spotlight was used to naturally focus the audience's attention on the person being talked about. In other words, the rational arrangement of light sources according to the development of the plot plays an important role in creating the atmosphere of the scene. In animation scene design, the importance of light and shadow is utilized to the fullest to create an emotionally meaningful spatial environment by integrating visual and psychological and emotional elements into the space. There are various factors that affect the emotional atmosphere created through design, such as color, layout, and lighting. Light and shadow are important elements that give color to objects and affect the visual experience, and play an important role in creating emotions in animation scene design.
In the realm of human unconsciousness, we always pay attention to shining objects first, and then to their appearance. Light and shadow have a strong ambiguity. Ambiguity is reflected in people's blurred perception of shadow boundaries and the blurred extent of shadow space. Ambiguity acts as a unique attraction to the visual sense and allows one to feel the emotion of the unknown. Light intensity, direction, color, and texture can affect how you experience a scene. Soft lighting in warm tones can create a cozy and comfortable atmosphere, while dark or partial lighting creates a sense of mystery or tension. There are already many application cases in the visual arts, such as photography, film, and painting. The purpose of this study is to study the importance of light and shadow expression in animation scene design by focusing on three aspects: creating a transparent visual sense through light and shadow, strengthening the sense of space in animation scenes, and creating a specific emotional atmosphere.
