새로운 가사작품 <송비산가>에 대하여 (A Study on New Gasa )

초록

본고는 새로운 가사작품 <송비산가>에 대하여 논의하였다. <송비산가>는 송비산을 유람하고 기록한 작품으로 지금껏 연구된 바가 없었다. 이에 서책에 실린 내용과 이본 검토를 통해서 ‘송비산가’류는 합천에서 자란 남인계열의 안동 권씨 부인에 의해 지어졌으며, 이러한 ‘송비산가’류의 가사작품이 하동지역으로 넘어와 노론계열의 필사자 의도에 맞게 삭제·첨가되어 지금의 <송비산가>로 필사된 것임을 확인할 수 있었다.
<송비산가>는 <송비가>와 <송비산유샹가> 두 이본이 전하고 있다. 이중 <송비산유샹가>의 경우, <송비산가>와 서로 누락되고 첨가된 부분이 엇물려 있어 두 이본 간의 상호보완이 필요해 보였다. 그러나 <송비산유샹가>에는 정작 송비산 유람의 본격적인 내용도 없고, 결사도 누락되어 있어 완결성이 떨어지는 반면, <송비산가>에는 목적지에 대한 서술과 회정까지 기록하고 있어 가장 완결성을 갖춘 것으로 볼 수 있다.
작품의 내용 구성은 ‘서사-본사-결사’로 이루어져 있다. 먼저 서사에서는 송비산 유람의 동기가 밝혀져 있다. 본사는 다시 네 단락으로 나뉘는데, 본사1에는 송비산에 도착하는 과정이 묘사되었다. 본사2에서는 송비산을 천상세계에 비유하여 설명하였고 본사3에서는 남녀유별 등의 윤리적 덕목에 대해 강조하였고 본사4에서는 송비산을 주변 지역에 대한 실경묘사와 그에 따른 내면의 정서가 주를 이루었다. 마지막으로 결사에서는 돌아오는 봄날의 유람을 기약하는 회정이 표현되었다.
<송비산가>는 지금껏 소개 연구되지 않은 새로운 필사본이라는 점에서 의미가 있으며, 여성기행가사로서의 한 유형을 보여준다는 점에서 그 문학사적 의의를 찾을 수 있다.

영어초록

This study discussed new gasa <Songbisanga>. First of all, the background of the work and the writer’s intention were examined. From the characteristics of works contained in the book and the review of different versions, we confirmed that <Songbisanga> was written by Lady Kwon from Andong who grew in Hapcheon and belonged to the Namin Group, and that gasa works of ‘Songbisanga’ style created in this way were transmitted to the Hadong region and corrected by a transcriber who belonged to the Noron Group and, as a result, transcribed into the extant <Songbisanga>.
<Songbisanga> has two different versions titled <Songbiga> and <Songbisanyusyangga>, respectively. When the different versions were compared, <Songbiga> did not include any contents not found in the other versions, so it was excluded from discussion. On the contrary, <Songbisanyusyangga> and <Songbisanga> had contents not found in or different from each other, so they needed to be supplemented by each other adequately. In <Songbisanyusangga>, however, there was no full description about the tour of Mt. Songbi and even the ending was omitted, showing lack of completeness. In contrast, <Songbisanga> was regarded as most complete as it depicted destinations and even the return trip in detail.
In the aspect of form, <Songbisanga> is a long gasa consisting of 373 phrases. The major meters are 3/4 and 4/4. The structure of this gasa is ‘Introduction – Main Part 1 – Main Part 2 – Main Part 3 – Ending.’ The introduction tells about the motives of the tour. The main part, which consists of three sub‐parts, records impressions felt from the trip to Mt. Songbi, dividing it into Okgyeong, Inse, and today’s Mt. Songbi. In the ending, the writer pledges another trip in the future and explains the return trip.
In conclusion, the meaning of <Songbisanga> is found in that it is women’s poetic prose of pung style and soyeong style recording the writer’s feelings during a trip to Mt. Songbi and is a new transcription that has never been introduced or studied. In particular, this work is not limited to the depiction of the scenery of Mt. Songbi but includes concerns over the family, yearning for the hometown and parents, and ethical sentiment as a woman. Moreover, this work has a literary significance in that it shows a type of women’s gasa on travels.
