초록

이 연구는 비블리오드라마의 정체성을 예수 그리스도의 영혼돌봄에 둔 ‘영혼돌봄의 비블리오드라마’를 제안하는 내용이며, 그 적용에 대해 다룬다. 반세기 정도의 역사를 가진 비블리오드라마는 사이코드라마를 통한 성경체험의 일환으로 시작하였으며, 성경을 일방향적으로 주지시키는 신학적인 풍토를 변혁하고자 하는 새로운 흐름에서 탄생되었다. 현대에서 비블리오드라마는 종교와 예술의 여러 영역과 함께 발전하고 있으나 오히려 비블리오드라마의 고유한 특성은 잘 살리지 못하는 것으로 보인다. 이것은 비블리오드라마와 사이코드라마는 명백한 차이가 있음에도 불구하고 비블리오드라마를 사이코드라마처럼 진행하는 경우들에서 볼 수 있으며, 비블리오드라마가 사이코드라마의 형식에 도움을 받아 시작되어 온 이래로 그 정체성을 확고히 하지 못해서 발생한 문제이기도 하다.
이에 연구자는 비블리오드라마의 정체성을 ‘예수 그리스도의 영혼돌봄’으로 정의하여 성경을 사용하는 비블리오드라마의 특성을 드러낼 수 있는 방향을 제시하고, 이것을 ‘영혼돌봄의 비블리오드라마’로 명명했다. 비블리오드라마는 텍스트가 성경이며, 참여자들이 성경 역할 경험을 하는 것을 목적으로 하는 것에서 주인공의 심리치료를 목적으로 하는 사이코드라마와 차이가 있다. 또한 성경을 일반 서적처럼 비블리오드라마에 적용하거나, 성경을 사용하여 참여자의 심리치료를 하는 것은 비블리오드라마를 사이코드라마와 내용적으로 혼용하는 것으로 또다른 의미에서 비블리오드라마를 사이코드라마의 아류로 사용하는 것이다. 여기에서는 그간 모호했던 비블리오드라마와 사이코드라마의 경계를 설정하고, 비블리오드라마의 디렉터들이 ‘영혼돌봄의 비블리오드라마’에서 예수 그리스도의 영혼돌봄을 구현하는 것을 도우려고 한다.
또한 이 연구는 ‘영혼돌봄의 비블리오드라마’를 새로운 목회상담으로 제시한다. 목회상담은 제2차 세계대전으로 비약적인 성장을 했으나 개인상담인 전문적 돌봄으로 그 영역이 축소된 것처럼 보인다. 목회상담의 기원은 예수의 영혼돌봄이며, 이 영혼돌봄을 정체성으로 하는 ‘영혼돌봄의 비블리오드라마’를 새로운 목회상담으로 제안하여 그간 개인상담에 치중되어 있던 목회상담을 공동체에 회복시키려고 한다. 앞으로 ‘영혼돌봄의 비블리오드라마’를 통한 그리스도의 영혼돌봄으로 더 많은 교회와 공동체를 도울 수 있기를 기대한다.

This study introduces the concept of ‘Bibliodrama’s care of the soul’, highlighting the identity of Bibliodrama based on Jesus Christ’s care of the soul, and explores its practical application. Bibliodrama, with a history of about half a century, emerged as a part of experiencing the Bible through psychodrama, introducing a new trend that transformed conventional theological interpretations offered a one-sided understanding of the Bible. Today, Bibliodrama has developed alongside various religious and artistic contexts, but it often fails to take full advantages of the unique attributes of Bibliodrama. There have been instances where Bliodrama is conducted in a manner resembling psychodrama, despite their fundamental differences. This problem has led to an unclear sense of identity for Bibliodrama, since its initial derivation from the structure of psychodrama.
Consequently, this study defines the identity of Bibliodrama as 'Jesus Christ’s care of the soul' and proposes a direction for accentuating Bibliodrama’s unique characteristics, rooted in the Bible, naming it 'Bibliodrama’s Care of the Soul'. Unlike psychodrama, which focuses on the psychotherapy of the main character, Bibliodrama aims to immerse participants in the roles of the Bible, using it as texts. Furthermore, applying the Bible like a regular book or using it solely for psychotherapeutic purposes in Bibliodrama risks mixing it with psychodrama in terms of content, potentially leading to Bibliodrama being regarded as a subset of psychodrama. This study describes the concept, necessity, and practical application of ‘Bibliodrama’s care of the soul’ to distinguish Bibliodrama from other forms of psychodrama and clarify its identity. This will allow for a clearer demarcation between Bibliodrama and psychodrama, which has often been ambiguous, enabling directors of Bibliodrama to reproduce the Jesus Christ’s care of the soul through ‘Bibliodrama’s Care of the Soul.’ Moreover, this study introduces ‘Bibliodrama’s Care of the Soul’ as a novel form of pastoral counseling. While pastoral counseling advanced rapidly during World War II, its scope appears to have narrowed to individualized counseling, that is, professional care. The roots of pastoral counseling lie in Jesus Christ’s care of the soul, and by proposing ‘Bibliodrama’s Care of the Soul’ as a new form of pastoral counseling, which upholds the identity of soul care. This study aims to reinstate the communal aspect of pastoral counseling, which has focused on individual counseling. After the death of Jesus Christ, the church took responsibility for him and his ministry. This shows that integrating the care of the soul into Bibliodrama can be a principle for its application in churches and pastoral settings, offering a way for pastoral counseling to respond to the diverse needs of congregations. In the future, this approach is likely to aid more churches and communities in experiencing Jesus Christ’s care of the soul through ‘Bibliodrama’s Care of the Soul’.
