초록

1990년대 후반 북한 문학평론은 ‘고난의 행군’이라는 큰 사건의 소용돌이 속에서도 ‘정치와 함께 하는 문학’으로서의 역할을 충실히 수행했다. 이 시기 북한 문학평론은 ‘수령형상 창조’, ‘붉은기 사상’ ‘강성대국건설’ 등을 제기했다.
그 이면에는 김일성 주석의 사망과 고난의 행군이라는 북한 사회의 위기 국면을 문학이 어떻게 대응할 것인가에 대한 고민이 담겨 있었다. ‘수령 형상 창조’를 통해 수령-당-인민의 일체성을 구현해내고, 유훈통치를 확고히 한다는 것이 이시기 북한 문학평론의 과제였다. 또 주체사상과 주체문학론의 중요한 축이 ‘수령관’에 있다고 했을 때, 향후에도 북한문학은 지속적으로 수령형상 창조에 논의를 집중할 것으로 보인다.
‘붉은기 사상’은 주체사상의 순결성을 통해 북한식 사회주의 체제를 강화하려는 사상체계다. 유훈통치 기간에는 ‘죽은 김일성이 북한 사회 운영’하는 체제였다. 이 시기에 김정일은 ‘붉은기 사상’을 통해 북한사회를 결집하려 했다.
‘강성대국건설’은 낭만주의적 성격을 갖고 있는 북한사회의 구호다. 1997년 10월, 김정일이 조선 노동당 총비서로 취임한 후, ‘강성대국건설’의 기치가 북한 문학평론의 전면에 배치되었다. 그 근간에는 ‘혁명적 낭만주의’를 강조해, 세대교체를 기정사실화 하려는 북한사회의 내적 맥락이 존재한다.
향후 북한 사회와 문학 문학계는 김일성․김정일에 대한 수령형상 창조가 지속되면서도 김정일을 중심으로 한 ‘수령형상 창조’가 가속화될 것이다. 주목할 부분은 북한문학에서 ‘세대교체’에 대한 문학적 형상화가 어떤 방향으로 이뤄지는가이다. 세대교체론은 ‘김일성 통치이념과 김정일 통치이념의 갈등’으로 읽을 수 있기 때문이다.

영어초록

Despite the 'marching of hardship', the literary criticism of North Korea in the late 1990s played an important role as 'literature with politics'. At this time the literary criticism of North Korea suggested the 'creation of leading figure', 'ideas of red flag' and 'construction of a great power' and so on.
We can check out the trouble behind how literature could cope with the critical situation, which is the death of Kim Il Sung and the marching of hardship. It was a task of the literary criticism of North Korea at this time to embody a sense of unity with leader-party-people through the 'creation of a leading figure' and make sure of ruling with dying instructions. When a 'view towards leader' plays an important part in the juche ideology and the juche literary theory, henceforth the literature of North Korea will focus on creating a leading figure continuously.
'Ideas of red flag' is a system of thought that will reinforce the nationalistic character through the purity of the juche ideology. During the ruling with dying instructions, North Korea was a system that 'the late Kim Il Sung managed the society'. At the time Kim Jung Il would concentrate all the society of North Korea through 'ideas of red flag'.
The 'construction of a great power' is a slogan of the North society having romantic character. In October, 1997, after the inauguration of Kim Jung Il as a head, the banner of the 'construction of a great power' had been disposed in front of the literary criticism of North Korea. On the basis of the situation, we can see the inner context of the north society to emphasize 'revolutionary romanticism' and make an accomplished fact of a shift in generations.
The north society and the literary world will, from now on, strengthen to create a leading figure, and also make rapid progress of society-unification with Kim Jung Il as the central figure. In addition, what we should take notice of is to which direction the literary configuration about 'a shift in generations' will get accomplished in the literature of North Korea. It is because we could understand a shift in generations as the 'conflict between the ruling ideology of Kim Il Sung and of Kim Jung Il'.
