초록

The purpose of This research was to verify the mediating effects of fear of compassion from othersand fear of compassion for self in the relationship between insecure adult attachment and depression ofuniversity students. The total of 495 university students participated in the study. The data was analyzed bydescriptive statistical analysis, correlation analysis and structural equation modeling using SPSS and AMOS. Theresults of the analysis were as follows. First, the results showed that there were significant positive correlationbetween insert adult attachment, fear of compassion from others, fear of compassion for self and depression.
Second, fear of compassion from other and fear of compassion for self is partially mediating the relationshipbetween anxious attachment and depression. Third, fear of compassion from other and fear of compassion forself is fully mediating the relationship between avoidant attachment and depression. The results substantiatedthat fear of compassion from others and fear of compassion for self is mediator between insecure adultattachment and depression. In the end, limitation of this study and directions for future research were discussed.
