인지문화철학으로 되짚어 본 촛불 시위와 4차 산업혁명 (Candlelight Demonstrations and the Fourth Industrial Revolution in the Cognitive-cultural Philosophy)

초록

박근혜 대통령 탄핵을 요구하는 촛불 시위가 연인원 1500만 명을 넘어섰다. 인공지능 알파고가 세계 최고의 바둑기사들을 상대로 60판 연승을 거두었다. 이는 인공지능 주도의 자동화를 핵심으로 하는 4차 산업혁명의 예고편이다. 이 글은 4차 산업혁명을 앞둔 시점에서 촛불 시위의 의미 또는 역할이 무엇인지, 더 나아가 그 철학적 의미 또는 철학자의 역할이 무엇인지에 대한 답을 인지문화철학 인지문화철학이란 인지현상에 대한 인지과학의 성과를 바탕으로 사회․문화철학의 문제에 접근하는 철학이다. 인지문화철학에 대해서는 다음 논문을 참조하라. 김광식, 「인지문화철학으로 되짚어 본 언어폭력(1)」, 『비폭력 연구』 2권, 비폭력 연구소, 2009; 김광식, 「인지문화철학으로 되짚어 본 동성애 혐오」, 『사회와 철학』 26집, 2013; 김광식, 「인지문화철학으로 되짚어 본 말투를 통한 사회변혁」, 『사회와 철학』 30집, 2015.
의 관점에서 찾고자 하였다.
촛불 시위는 시대를 진단하고 주요 문제를 성찰하고 해결책을 찾는 기회다. 지금은 4차 산업혁명을 앞둔 시대이며, 일자리 문제가 주요 문제다. 전문가들은 4차 산업혁명으로 10년 안에 지금 일자리의 절반이 대체될 것이라고 예상한다. 따라서 촛불 시위는 일자리를 청구할 노동 청구권을 요구해야 한다. 또한 그 목표를 이루기 위한 저항 의지를 기르기 위해 광장 정치를 제도화하고 일상화해야 한다. 철학자는 그것을 철학적으로 정당화해야 한다.
인간에게 노동은 생존 수단을 넘어 자아정체성을 형성하고 실현하는, 인간다움의 본질적 조건이다. 마뚜라나의 인지철학에 따르면 인식은 한 생물이 특정한 환경 안에서 자기 세계를 만듦으로써, 그 생물이 그 환경 안에서 계속 살 수 있도록 해주는 효과 있는 행위다. 내가 누구라는 인식, 곧 자아정체성은 특정한 환경과 상호작용하면서 그 환경 안에서 계속 살 수 있도록 해주는 효과 있는 특정한 행위 방식이나 경향성이다. 환경과 상호작용하면서 그 환경 안에서 계속 살 수 있도록 하는 효과 있는 대표적 행위가 바로 노동 행위다. 거듭된 노동 행위를 통해 몸에 밴 환경과 상호작용하는 특정한 행위 방식이나 경향성이야말로 자아정체성을 형성하고 실현하는 데 중요한 역할을 한다.
한편 광장 정치의 제도화 및 일상화는 저항 의지를 몸에 배게 할 수 있다. 마뚜라나의 자기생산체계이론에 따르면 사람을 포함한 생명체의 행위를 결정하는 것은 머릿속 앎이기보다는 생명체의 몸에 밴 행위 방식이나 태도다. 행위 방식이나 태도를 몸에 배게 하려면 거듭 되풀이하여 특정한 방식의 행위를 해야 한다. 생명체는 환경과 상호작용하면서 자신의 상호작용 행위를 생산할 뿐만 아니라, 자신의 상호작용 행위 생산 방식도 생산한다. 이렇게 거듭 되풀이되는 상호작용 행위 생산 방식의 생산을 통해 특정한 상호작용 행위 생산 방식이나 경향 또는 태도가 몸에 배게 된다. 따라서 광장 정치의 제도화 및 일상화는 거듭된 저항 행위를 통해 저항 의지를 몸에 배게 할 수 있다.
이러한 철학적 정당화는 하나의 예시일 뿐이며 더 깊고 다양한 철학적 연구가 필요하다. 하지만 철학자는 연구에 그치지 말고 그 연구 결과로 대중을 설득하는 작업도 해야 한다.

The candlelight demonstrators, who demanded the impeachment of President Park Geun-hye, exceeded 15 million. Artificial Intelligence Alpha Go has won the 60th straight victory against the best players of the world. This is the trailer of the 4th industrial revolution, the core of which is the artificial intelligence-driven automation. This article searched for the meaning and role of the candlelight demonstrations at the time of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and also the philosophical meaning or the role of the philosopher on the ground of the cognitive- culture philosophy.
Candlelight demonstrations are an opportunity to diagnose the times, to reflect on major problems and to find solutions. It is now ahead of the 4th industrial revolution, and the issue of jobs is a major problem. Experts expect that the fourth industrial revolution will replace half of jobs in ten years. Therefore, candlelight demonstrations should demand the right to claim jobs. Also, we should institutionalize and regularize the square politics in order to raise the will to resist. Philosophers must philosophically justify it.
Labor is an essential condition of human nature, which forms and realizes self identity beyond the means of survival. According to Maturana's cognitive philosophy, cognition is an effective act that allows a living system to live in its environment by creating a world in a particular environment. The perception of who I am, self identity, is a specific way of acting or a tendency that is effective in enabling me to live in that environment while interacting with it. It is labor practice that is an typical effective act that enables people to continue to live in the environment while interacting with it. The specific way of acting or tendency that interacts with the environment, which is embodied through the repeated labor acts, plays an important role in forming and realizing self identity.
On the other hand, the will of resistance can be embodied through the institutionalization and the regularization of the square politics. According to Maturana’s theory of autopoietic systems, it is the manner or attitude of the act, which is embodied, rather than the knowledge in the head to determine the act. If you want to keep the way of behavior or attitude embodied, you have to do it again and again in a certain way. In interacting with the environment, a living system produces not only its own interactive behaviors, but also its own way to produce interactive behaviors. Through this repeated production of its own ways to produce interactive behaviors is its own way, tendency or attitude to produce interactive behaviors embodied. Therefore, if the square politics is institutionalized and normalized, the will of resistance can be embodied through the repeated act of resistance.
This philosophical justification is only an example, and a deeper and diverse philosophical study is needed. However, philosophers should not only research but also persuade the public with the result of the research.
