페이스북과 창의적 교수법을 활용한 기독교교육 방법의 새로운 가능성 모색 (Facebook and Creative Teaching Methods of Seeking New Possibilities in the Way of Christian Education)

초록

본 연구는 소셜미디어의 대표적 시스템인 페이스북과 창의적 교수법을 활용한 수업이 새로운 기독교교육적 패러다임으로서 의미가 있는지에 대한 과정을 살펴보는데 목적이 있다. 이 과정을 살펴보기 위해 A대학교 24명의 학생을 대상으로 ‘청소년 교육론’ 교과목을 2012년 1학기부터 소셜미디어와 창의적 교수법을 활용한 형식으로 실행하였다. 이후 성찰의 과정을 통해 교육방법을 수정하였고, 2012년 2학기 37명의 학생을 대상으로 ‘청소년멘토링의 이해와 실제’의 수업을 새롭게 구성하여 소셜미디어와 실천적 교육에 초점을 둔 창의적 교수법을 실시하였으며, 온라인 공간과 강의실, 멘토링 현장이라는 세 가지 교육 공간에서 함께 교육과정이 블렌디드러닝을 적용하였다.
위 같은 과정을 통한 연구과정에서 두드러진 교육적 의미는 첫째, 본 연구에서 활용한 교수 방식을 통해 교사는 학생들로부터 격려와 다시 가르칠 수 있는 동기를 제공 받을 수 있음을 알 수 있었고, 둘째, 학생 개인의 변화와 일상적 삶으로서의 경험, 과정으로서의 배움에 영향력을 주었다. 셋째, 실천공동체, 학습공동체의 구성원으로서 상호작용하는 경험의 장이 되었다. 또한 신앙공동체의 일원으로서 자발적 책임과 사회적 참여를 실천 했다. 넷째, 본 연구를 통해 소셜미디어의 한계를 기독교세계관적 관점으로 정리해 보았다. 이러한 연구결과와 내용을 토대로 기독교교육적 의미와 연결 시켜 봄으로써 본 연구가 기독교 교육의 새로운 패러다임으로 가능한지 논의하였으며, 소셜미디어와 창의적 교수법이 기독교교육 방법의 새로운 패러다임으로 전환 될 수 있는 시사점을 제공하였다.

영어초록

This study aims to examine what effects the Facebook, which is considered to be the typical social media system, and classes, in which creative teaching methods are applied, have on the new paradigm for Christian education. In order to look into the process of education, the 24 students attending A University were asked to receive the lecture titled ‘Theory of Youth Education’ since the first semester of 2012, in which such media and educational paradigms were applied. And then, the educational method was modified through a feedback, so that a new subject titled “Understanding and Practice of Youth Mentoring” could be organized, which was offered to 37 students of the second semester of 2012. The new subject was aimed at a creative teaching method focused on the social media and practical education. And also, a blended learning was applied to the educational process that was carried out in three dimensions of education including the on-line space, lecture room and mentoring site.
The significant meanings from the research process based on the above mentioned theories are as follows.
Firstly, it was confirmed that the teachers using the teaching method applied to this study could be motivated to encourage the students, trying to teach them. Secondly, the changes in individual students, the experience and process everyday life of had effects on their learning. Thirdly, the new paradigm for education provided the students with the experiential field as a member of practice and learning community. And also, it encouraged them to take the responsibility voluntarily and participate in the community as a member of religious belief community. Fourthly, the limit of social media could be defined in terms of the world view of christianity in this study. Based on the study results and contents, it was examined if this study could provide a new paradigm for Christian education through connecting the results to the meanings of Christian education. Furthermore, it was suggested that the creative teaching method could be converted into a new paradigm.of doing scholarship as well as of living the life of faith.
