기도제목으로 본 고등부 학생들의 신앙실태 조사 - 광주 H교회 고등부 사례조사 - (A study on the prayer lists of Korean Christian high school students -A Case Study of High School Youth Group at H Church in Gwangju-)

초록

본 연구는 한국기독교의 위기적 상황이 교회 외부적인 요인보다, 교회 내부적인 요인, 즉 차세대들에게서 찾아야 한다는 취지의 연구로써 한국기독교의 실질적인 사례를 통해 위기 상황을 직시하고 대안을 생각해 보는데 이 연구의 목적이 있다. 본 연구에서는 청소년층의 구체적인 신앙실태를 살펴봄으로써 한국기독교의 미래를 전망하고, 대안을 생각해 보는 연구이다.
이번 연구의 연구대상인 광주광역시의 H교회 고등부 학생들은 ‘경쟁에서 도태하면 죽고, 이겨야 산다’는 신자유주의 경제체제에서의 가치관을 가지고 신앙생활을 하고 있었다. 고등부 학생들의 기도제목은 가족의 건강과 행복, 학업 성적향상 그리고 좋은 진로로 인도해 달라는 것 세 가지로 축약되는 염원으로 기도카드가 완성되었고 80﹪가 이 범주의 것들이었다. 그러나 이들이 왜 건강해야 하고, 공부를 왜 잘해야 하며, 자신의 진로를 하나님이 왜 인도해주셔야 하는지 대한 신앙적인 고찰은 없었다. 단지 공부를 잘해야, 건강해야 행복한 것이고 도태되지 않는 삶이라고 생각할 뿐 이었다. 이 같은 결과는 교회학교가 학생들에게 본질적인 신앙교육을 제대로 가르치지 못한 결과이며, 교회학교의 교육이 세상교육과 차별성이 없다는 것을 반증하고 있다.
한국기독교의 교인 수 감소를 막기 위해서는 교회 내부적인 문제, 특히 차세대들의 신앙유실을 방지해야 한다. 그러므로 차세대들의 신앙실태를 파악하여 세상이 추구하는 가치와 기독교의 가치의 차이를 가르치고, 신앙을 실천하도록 하는 신앙교육이 이루어져야 한다.
신앙의 본질 즉 하나님이 인간을 만드신 목적, 하나님 스스로가 인간이 되어 인간의 죄를 위해 대신 죽어 주신 의도가 청소년들에게 명확히 전달된다면 청소년 스스로가 의도적으로 신앙을 실천하게 되어 한국의 기독교는 제 2의 부흥기를 맞이할지도 모를 일이다.

영어초록

This study aims to understand the crisis of Korean protestant church and propose alternative measures based on the actual cases of Korean protestant church to the effect that the crisis of Korean protestant church stems not from the external factors of church but from the internal ones, in other words, solutions should be found from the next generations. In this respect, this study describes specific situations of church activity in adolescents, predicts the future of Korean protestant church, and find out alternative measures correspondingly.
High school students at H church in Gwangju, who are the subjects of this study led a religious life with the value of neo-liberalism economic system, "If you fall behind in competition, you die, but if you win, you live." The title of prayer among high school students can be classified into three sub-categories: for health and happiness of a family, for improvement in academic performance, and for right career directions. Based on these titles of prayers, they completed their prayer cards. 80﹪ of them belonged to these categories. But there were no religious considerations on why they should be healthy, why they should receive good marks in schools, or why their career should be led by God. They were just thinking that they should study hard and that if they are healthy, they will be happy and they will not fall behind. Such a result is because church schools cannot provide students with essential faith education and it is counterevidence of the fact that church schools are not different from general school education.
To prevent reduction in number of believers, it is necessary to prevent internal problems of church, particularly loss of faith in next generations. Therefore, it is necessary to identify the current status of their faith, understand the difference between the value that they pursue and that of protestant church, and teach them to practice their faith.
If we teach them about the essential faith education that conveys the purpose of God who died for the sin of all human beings after becoming a real human, in other words, the purpose that God made humans as clearly as possible, high school students will be able to practice their faith by themselves and Korean Christianity will experience the second renaissance.
