尹奉吉의 上海義擧에 대한 日本언론의 보도 (The report of the Japanese media about Bong-Gil Yoon's heroic deed in Shanghai)

초록

윤봉길의 상해의거는 일본 조야에 큰 충격을 주었음에 틀림없다. 일본의 신문들은 이 의거를 일본을 분격시킨 사건으로 기사화하고 있다. 白川사령관 등 당사자들과 가족들의 동정을 집중 보도하여 최대의 동정심을 표하였다. 심지어는 영국 외상을 비롯한 각국 대표들의 위문 기사를 실어 우방국들로부터 지지를 받고 있음도 선전하여 일본을 피해자로 인식시키는 선전도 하고 있다. 반면에 윤봉길의 의거에 대하여는 범인의 단순한 광폭 행위에 불과하다고 비하하는 논평을 발표하였다.
일본 신문에서는 윤봉길의 인상착의에 대한 여러 표현들이 나온다. 이를 종합하건대 윤봉길은 다색의 양복에 희끗희끗한 스프링코트를 입고 쥐색의 중절모를 썼던 것으로 보인다. 이는 그동안 널리 알려진 연행되어 가는『大阪朝日新聞』4월 29일 호외 1면에 실린 윤봉길의 모습과도 일치한다. 윤봉길은 체포 직후 현장에서 의식을 잠시 잃을 정도로 군중들로부터 심한 구타를 당하였다.그러나『大阪朝日新聞』4월 29일 호외1면의 사진은 얼굴이나 의복이 깨끗한 편이다. 그래서 이 사진의 주
인공이 윤봉길이 아니라는 주장도 있다.그러나 같은 날 신문의 2면에 실린 사진은 얼굴에 핏자국이 선명할 정도로 호외 1면의 사진과는 다르다. 또한『THE CHINA WEEKLY REVIEW』에 실린 그의 사진은 얼굴이 시커멓고 코트에는 진흙 같은 것이 묻어있으며, 마치 피해서 달아나는 듯한 모습이다. 이로 보아 호외1면의 사진은 상해사변 이후 격해진 반일감정을 우려해서 사진 원판을 수정한 것이 아닌가 한다. 윤봉길이 구타를 당하여 의식을 잃고 차에 실려 갔다는 기록도 있다. 또한 이를 근거로 연행되어 가는 인물은 윤봉길이 아니라는 주장도 있다. 그러나 윤봉
길이 뭇매를 맞아 중상을 입어 옷소매 사이로 피가 흘러내릴 정도로 중상을 입었지만 그의 얼굴에는 냉소가 흘러나왔다는 기사가 있어 의식을 완전히 잃었던 것은 아니었음을 알게 해준다.

영어초록

Bong-Gil Yoon’s heroic deed in Shanghai must have given a shock to the
whole nation of Japan. The Japanese press reported that his heroic deed
exasperated Japan, and intensively carried reports of the conditions of the
party concerned including an army commander, Sarikawa and their family,
and expressed their maximum sympathy. Moreover, as they carried reports
of consolation of representatives of various countries including the minister
of foreign affairs of Great Britain and propagated that Japan was supported
by its allies, they made Japan a victim. On the contrary, they criticized that
Bong-Gil Yoon’s heroic deed was a simple frenzied act.
There are lots of the description of Bong-Gil Yoon’s face in the Japanese
newspapers. Putting various description together, it seems that Bong-Gil
Yoon wore a light-brown suit, a grey topcoat and a dark grey soft hat.
This answers the description of Bong-Gil Yoon who was being taken to the
police in the front page of an extra edition, “Osaka Asahi Shimbun” dated
April 29. He was beaten so much by the masses right after his arrest that
he lost his consciousness for a little while. However, his face and clothes
in the picture in the front page of the extra edition, “Osaka Asahi Sihimbun” were pretty clean. Therefore there is an claim that the person in
the newspaper is not Bong-Gil Yoon. But his face in the picture in the
second page of the newspaper on the same day was bloodstained and
different from that of the extra edition. Also his face in the picture
appeared in “The China Weekly Review” was dark and his topcoat was
stained with something like mud, and he had a figure as if he ran a mile
from something.
Therefore I think that the picture appeared in the extra edition of “Osaka
Asahi Shimbun” might be amended because it worried about violent
anti-Japanese feelings after Shanghai Incident. There is a record that
Bong-Gil Yoon was beaten and lost his consciousness, and he was carried
by the car. Also there is a claim that the person being taken to a police
station in the newspaper was not Bong-Gil Yoon. But according to an
article, though he got it from all sides and got seriously wounded enough
that his blood flowed under the sleeve, his face was full of a cold smile.
The article says that he did not completely lose his consciousness.
