국내 남성복에 나타난 색채 및 배색특성에 대한 연구 - 11 S/S ~ 12 F/W 서울 컬렉션을 중심으로 - (A Study on Color Scheme Characteristics of Men's Wear in Korea - Focusing on 11 S/S ~ 12 F/W Seoul Collection -)

초록

본 연구는 국내 남성복의 트렌디한 색채 특징을 분석하고 배색특징을 시즌별과 연도별, 아이템별로 살펴봄으로써 배색트렌드를 파악하여 남성복 색채기획의 기초가 되는 실증적인 대표 색채 정보를 제안하는데 목적이 있다.
연구는 2011 S/S부터 2012 F/W까지 서울컬렉션에서 참가한 남성복 브랜드 15개로 한정하고 컬렉션 사진자료를 수집하였다. 분석대상의 선정기준으로 상의와 하의 구성의 2pcs, 상의와 하의, 아우터 3pcs의 아이템을 기준으로 분석하였다.
국내 남성복 컬렉션의 색채 특성 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 전체적인 색상 분포의 특성은 무채색의 비중이 높다는 것이다. 시즌별로는 S/S가 F/W보다 고명도의 색채의 비중이 높은 계절적인 특징을 보였다. 연도별로는 2012년도에 다른 해에 비해 상대적으로 PB가 많이 활용되었다. 색조와 무채색 분포 특성을 살펴보면, 컬렉션의 색조 분포는 무채색과 회색조가 높게 나타났으며, 계절별로는 S/S보다 F/W에 저명도 색채 비중이 높은 특징을 보였다. 연도별로는 2012년도에 무채색의 비율이 상대적으로 높아진 특징을 보였다.
국내 남성복 컬렉션을 색상 중심으로 배색 특성을 분석한 결과, 비교적 고른 색상 분포를 나타냈다. 시즌별, 연도별에 차이가 있었으며, 아이템별로는 2pcs에서 대조색상 배색, 3pcs는 동일색상 배색의 경향을 보였다. 색조를 기준으로 한 배색을 분석한 결과, 유사색조 배색과 대조색조 배색이 높은 비율을 보여 국내 남성패션에서 이와 같은 배색이 많이 활용되고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 아이템별로 2pcs는 대조색조 배색, 3pcs에서는 유사색조 배색 경향이 있었고, 시즌별, 연도별에서도 차이를 보였다. 이처럼 국내 디자이너 남성복의 경우 시즌별, 연도별, 아이템별로 모두 배색경향이 달라지는 것으로 나타났다. 그 중 아이템별 특성은 아이템의 수가 적을수록 대조적인 색상과 색조 배색의 활용 빈도가 높았으며, 아이템의 수가 많아질수록 동일, 유사 색상과 색조 배색의 활용도가 높은 것으로 나타났다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of trendy colors of men's wear in Korea and observe the color scheme characteristics by season, year, and item to identify the color scheme trends and propose empirical and representative color information that can serve as the basis for color planning in men's wear.
The study limited the subject to 15 brands of men's wear that were part of the Seoul Collection from 2011 S/S to 2012 F/W and gathered photo data of the collection. As the selection basis for analysis, it consisted of top and bottom 2pcs, top and bottom, and outer 3pcs items.
Analysis results of color scheme characteristics of domestic men's wear collection are as follows. There was a higher ratio of achromatic colors for the overall color scheme. By season, there was a seasonal characteristic of higher proportion for brighter colors in S/S rather than F/W. By year, PB was used much more in 2012 in comparison to other years. Regarding the characteristics of tone and achromatic color distribution, the collection's tone distribution showed a higher ratio of achromatic and greyish colors, while by season, F/W showed a characteristic of having higher proportion of less brighter colors than S/S. By year, 2012 showed characteristic of having higher proportion of achromatic colors in comparison.
From the analysis results of color scheme characteristics focused on colors of domestic men's wear collection, a fairly even color distribution was shown. Differences did exist by season and year, while for item, trends of contrast color schemes were seen in 2pcs and same color schemes in 3pcs. From the analysis results of color schemes based on tones, there was higher proportion of similar tone and contrast tone color schemes, which showed such color schemes were being widely used in domestic men's wear fashion. By item, 2pcs showed trends of contrast tone color scheme while 3pcs showed trends of similar tone color schemes, and there were also differences by season and year. Thus, the results showed there were varying trends of color schemes by season, year, and item for domestic designer men's wear. Characteristics by item, in particular, showed contrasting color and tone color schemes being used more often when there were in 2pcs items, while same and similar color and tone color schemes were being used more often when there were in 3pcs items.
