초록

This paper aims to explain how the orthodoxy of zhuanshu 篆書 hasbeen established and reassured. Zhuanshu had become a standardwriting style with the tremendous contribution by Lisi李斯 in Qin秦dynasty and Xushen許愼 in Han漢 dynasty, who leveraged zhuanshu tounify various character writings and styles that were used in Zhanguo戰國 period. While competing with lishu 隷書 and kaishu 楷書 that werefairly popular in Han dynasty, zhuanshu gained the sovereignty overother styles and maintained its prestigious status for a long time - fromthe traditional period till Tangsong唐宋 dynasties. Even in Qing淸dynasty zhuanshu regained the power in character meaning research andcalligraphy.
I propose three main reasons why zhuanshu had reigned for such along time. First in historical and political point, second scholastic andacademic point, and third artistic and esthetic point, it is the strength ofzhuanshu to be able to succeed the previous styles and also connect tonew ones so as to survive for a long period.
