『고려대장경』을 통해 본 悉曇章의 세 측면 (A study on three aspects of Siddhavastu through the analysis of Tripitaka Koreana)

초록

『고려대장경』에서의 실담장은 크게 세 가지 양상으로 전개되고 있다. 먼저 음운론적 측면으로, 『현응음의』에서는 전체 범자를 47자로 규정하면서 5음을 舌根聲, 舌齒聲 등과 함께 일부 한자독음에는 반절을 표기하고 있고, 『혜림음의』에서는 범자를 50자로 규정하면서 이들에 대한 반절 및 세밀한 해석을 부가하고 있으며, 총론에서 喉聲·腭聲·齗聲·齒聲·脣吻聲으로 구분하고 있다. 다음은 실담장에 대승사상을 적용한 예로, 불공의 『금강정경석자모품』의 50자문 각각에는 대승불교의 철학적 근간인 반야공사상을 적용하여 실담장의 중요성을 강조하고 있는데, 이는 『반야경』, 『화엄경』 등의 42자문의 사상적 적용과 맥을 같이 하고 있다. 마지막으로 화엄학에서도 실담장의 비유를 들고 있다. 범자 음운과 그 결합의 원리 등을 말하는 실담장을, 60권 『화엄경』 등에서는 실담장 초장의 원리를 십지의 수행계위에 비유하거나, 실담장 14음을 字緣에 비유하고 36자모를 字界에 비유하였다. 또한 『법계도기총수록』에서는 실담장의 비유를 통하여 ‘깨달음의 문’에 이르도록 하고 있다. 이처럼 범자 음운과 그들이 결합하여 명･구･문을 완성하는 원리를 화엄학적인 ‘一即多多即一’ 등에 비유한 것이다.

영어초록

Siddhavastu is deployed in three different aspects in the Tripitaka Koreana. First of all, in terms of phonological, in the Xuanying's Transliterations and Senses, the Indic writing was prescribed in all 47 letters, five tones were composed of gustatory faculty voice and tongue with tooth voice and so forth, besides, there were marked a system of indicating the initial and final sounds of a character by two others at some of Chinese Letter sound, in the Huilinʼs Sounds and Meanings, there were detailed analysis and marked a system of indicating the initial and final sounds of a character by two others at all of Chinese Letter sound at the Sanskrit was prescribed in all 50 letters, and five tones were itemized of throat voice, gingiva voice, gum voice, tooth voice, lip voice in general introduction. Next example, it is an application of the thought of great vehicle, in the Yü ch'ieh chin kang ting ching Su tzu mu p'in translated by Amoghavajra, there were 50 siddham letters and accentuate importance of each letter Siddhavastu with the emptiness of prajñā, they were similar to applying an ideological 42 letters of Prajñā-pāramitā sūtra and Avataṃsaka-sūtra. The last example, Siddhavastu was compared insight of flower adornment’s experiential realm in Huayan Teaching. As we already know, Siddhavastu is all tone of Indic writing and it’s principle of combination. The 60-volumed Avataṃsaka-sūtra and so forth, first sentence of Siddhavastu compares of stage to carry out or perform, 14 vowels compare of Sanskrit vowels and 36 matrices compare of word’s realm. There was compare of reaching ‘the door of Enlightenment’ through Siddhavastu in the Beopkyedogichongsurok. The comparison of Huayan Teaching between Siddhavastu, there were ‘one is many, the many are one’ and so forth, finally, it is the principle of complete words, phrases, and syllables through all tone of Indic writing and it’s principle of combination.
