들뢰즈 사상에서 본 안병무의 소수자신학 (Ahn Byung–mu’s Minority Theology viewed in Deleuzian Perspective)

초록

이 논문은 안병무의 민중신학을 들뢰즈(와 가타리) 사상의 관점에서재해석하고, 나아가 양자를 ‘소수자신학’이라는 주제로 상호 연관시키는데 목적이 있다. 들뢰즈의 사상에 입각해 안병무의 오클로스론과 민중메시아론을 다시 읽음으로써 그의 신학을 ‘오늘의 민중신학’으로서의 ‘소수자신학’으로 재규정하고자 한다.
안병무의 신학과 들뢰즈의 사상은 여러 부분에서 강도 높은 교차로를형성한다. 그중에서도 안병무의 오클로스론과 민중메시아론은 니체–베르그송의 생성존재론을 계승한 들뢰즈의 차이생성의 존재론의 구도에서 볼때, 기존의 (동일성과 실체 중심의) 존재론적 관점에서 이해하고자 할 때노정되는 한계를 넘어설 수 있다. 또한 안병무의 민중메시아론에 함축된민중의 자기초월, 자기해방, 자기구원 등의 개념들은 들뢰즈의 시간론과연관될 때 ‘민중의 주체화’ 혹은 ‘소수자 주체화’의 문제로 변용 및 확장될수 있다.
특별히 이 논문은 소수자 주체화의 문제에 천착한다. 다시 말해 ‘민중이란 누구인가?’ 혹은 ‘소수자란 누구인가?’라는 고정된 정체성에 대한 물음보다는 ‘소수자 주체성은 어떻게 (시간과 역사 속에서) 형성되는가?’라는 주체화의 물음에 관심을 둔다. 이를 해명하기 위해 들뢰즈의 시간론인‘시간의 수동적 종합’을 통해 민중의 주체화 혹은 소수자 주체화의 문제에접근하고자 한다. 들뢰즈에게 시간론은 곧 주체론(시간론=주체론)으로서,이것은 시간 속에서 매듭지어지는 주체성의 형성을 뜻하기 때문이다. 이런 시간의 수동적 종합은 개인의 주체성 형성과 관련되지만, 이를 확장해소위 역사의 종합과 (공통의 사건을 통한) 공통 주체성 혹은 집단 주체성의 형성에 대해 생각해볼 수 있다.
이런 관점에서 볼 때, 안병무가 말하는 역사적 주체로서의 민중은 단지 초험적으로 주어지는 주체가 아니라 철저히 시간과 역사, (넓은 의미의) 경험 속에서 형성되는 주체성으로 이해된다. 그것은 민중의 고난이라는 시간적, 역사적 체험을 통한 민중의 자기초월, 자기해방, 민중의 역사적 주체 됨의 과정인 것이다.

Ahn Byung–mu’s Minority Theology viewed in DeleuzianPerspective

This is an article that aims to reinterpret the Ahn Byung–mu’sminjung theology from a Deleuzian(and Deleuzo–Guattarian) pointof view, and to link them under a theme, ‘minority theology.’ Rereadingthe ochlos theory and the minjung messiah theory by Ahn in thelight of Deleuze’s thought, I have tried to redefine the theologist’s‘minority theology’ as the ‘minjung theology of now.’Ahn’s theology and Deleuzian thought intersect on several pointsintensively. Above all it could bring the idea of ochlos and of minjungmessiah beyond certain limitations reached in the existing ontologicalperspective—founded upon the identity and the substance—toreview them in the scheme of the plane of differentiation of Deleuze,who succeeded the Nietzschean–Bergsonian ontology of becoming.
And such notions as the self–transcendence of minjung, self–liberation,self–salvation, ect. can, when linked to the time theory ofDeleuze, be transformed and extended into the questions like ‘thesubjectivation of minjung’ or ‘the subjectivation of the minority.’This article pays attention particularly to an issue, the subjectivationof the minority. That is, it is concerned less with the questions onthe fixed identity like ‘who is minjung’ or ‘who is the minority’ thanwith the one on the subjectivation like ‘how would the minority subjectivationbe formed (in time and history)?’ The question of the subjectivationof minjung or of the minority can be approached to withthe Deleuzian time theory, ‘the passive synthesis of time.’ ForDeleuze, a theory of time is a theory of the subject as well, since theformer means no other than the formation of subjectivity in time.
Though the passive synthesis of time is about to the formation ofindividual subjectivity, it can be extended as well to the so–calledsynthesis of history, the formation of common subjectivity(with thecommon event), or collective subjectivity.
In this sense, the minjung as a historical subject, asserted by Ahn,can be understood not simply as a subject transcendentally given, butas a subjectivity formed in time, history, and experience(in it’s broadestsense). It grows to be a process of the self–transcendence, self–liberation and becoming historical subject of minjung through thetemporal and historical experience of the suffering of minjung. Thiswould also offer a theological standpoint with which we canapproach to the question of formation of the minority subjectivity thatvariously diverges today.
