노인요양병원 병동부 동선구조에 따른 위계분석 연구 (A Study on the Hierarchical Analysis in Elderly Nursing Facilities According to their Circulation Structures)

초록

(연구배경 및 목적) 최근 노인인구의 급증으로 인하여 다양한 문제가 발생하고 있다. 이러한 문제 중 노인의 의료적인 문제는 그 해결방법에 있어서 시설의 양적증대에만 치중하였다. 그 결과 한국의 경우 노인의 시설 관련 연구 수준은 선진국에 비하여 낮게 나타나고 있다. 또한 과거에는 노인은 육체적, 사회적, 심리적 관점에서 단순 약자로 간주되었으나, 최근은 문화 및 의료수준의 향상으로 이러한 개념에서 벗어나고 있어, 사회 재진입을 희망하는 노인인구가 증가하는 추세이다. 이러한 사회적 분위기는 노인시설의 변화를 요구하고 있다. 이러한 측면에서 노인이 상주하며 치료를 받는 병동부의 역할이 중요시되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 노인요양병원 병동부의 동선구조에 따른 공간 위계분석을 실시함으로써, 향후 노인요양병원 병동부 설계시 기초자료 구축 활용을 목적으로 한다. (연구방법) 본 연구는 노인요양병원 병동부의 동선구조에 따른 공간위계를 분석하기 위하여 다음의 내용에 의거하여 진행하였다. 첫 번째, 본 연구는 노인요양병원 병동부의 동선구조를 도출하기 위하여 공간위상도를 도출하였다. 공간위상도는 노인요양병원 병동부 최하층만을 대상으로 진행하였으며, 대상의 평면도를 대상으로 조닝, 볼록공간 분할 및 노드링크를 통하여 도출하였다. 두 번째, 본 연구는 도출된 공간위상도를 근거로 정량적 공간분석 방법인 공간구문론을 적용함으로써 각 단위공간의 이용률, 접근성 및 인지를 분석하였다. 단, 분석대상 선정은 100병상 이상의 규모로 서울경기지역 및 지방지역으로 구분하였다. (결과) 이에 대한 본 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫 번째, 본 연구를 통하여 선정된 대상의 노인요양병원의 공간위상도는 Tree형의 작은 잡목형과 Ring형의 얕은 고리형으로 도출되며, 이는 동선구조 측면에서 공간 깊이를 최소화 함으로써 공간인지를 용이하게 하기 위함이다. 두 번째, Ring형의 노인요양병원 병동부의 경우 복도를 중심으로 순환형 구조를 보이나, 복도를 제외한 환자공간, 간호공간, 환자공용공간은 Tree형 구조를 취한다. 세 번째, Ring형의 노인요양병원 병동부는 사회적 특성이 중요한 부분을 차지하나, 환자공용공간의 접근성 및 인지성은 낮은 값을 보인다. 이는 노인의 특성을 고려시 이용하기에 어려움이 있으며, 병동부의 사회적 기능에 제약이 발생할 것으로 예상된다. (결론) 본 연구는 노인요양병원 병동부에 대하여 공간위상도를 도출하여 동선유형을 도출하였으며, 이후 공간위상도를 근거로 공간구문론을 활용함으로써 노인요양병원 병동부의 접근성 및 인지성을 분석하였다. 이러한 분석은 향후 노인요양병원 병동부 설계를 위한 기초자료로 활용가능성이 높다. 단, 본 연구의 방법론은 공간 크기, 동선 길이 등이 반영되지 않는다는 것은 본 연구의 한계이다. 이에 향후에는 이를 해결하기 위한 다양한 연구가 후속되어야 할 것이다.

영어초록

(Background and Purpose) Recently, various problems have emerged due to the rapid increase of the elderly population. Among these issues, is that of increasing facilities for them to facilitate the handling of their medical problems. However, the level of research in Korea on such facilities is lower than that of advanced countries. Previously, seniors were considered as being weak physically, socially, and psychologically. However, the number of senior citizens who wish to re-enter society is increasing with the improvement of cultural and medical standards. This social atmosphere calls for changes in facilities for the elderly. Thus, the role of hospital wards where the elderly are housed and receive treatment is significant. Therefore, this study conducted a hierarchical analysis on the wards of elderly nursing facilities according to their circulation structures to build basic data for planning such facilities in the future. (Method) First, the J-graphs of the analysis targets were obtained to derive their circulation structures. The J-graphs were only for the lowest floors of the wards in elderly nursing facilities, and they were derived by zoning, dividing convex spaces, and connecting the nodes and links for the floor plans of the analysis targets. Second, this study analyzed the utilization rate, accessibility, and recognition of each unit space by applying space syntax, a quantitative analysis tool on spatial characteristics, based on the derived J-graphs. The analysis targets were limited to elderly facilities with more than 100 beds in the Seoul Capital Area and provincial area. (Results) The results are as follows: first, the J-graphs of the elderly nursing facilities in this study were small bush tree-types and shallow ring-types to facilitate spatial recognition by minimizing the spatial depth in the circulation structure. Second, the ring-type wards had circulating systems centered around the corridor, but the patient spaces, nursing spaces, and public spaces, except for the corridors, were tree-type structures. Third, social characteristics are a significant part of ring-type wards, albeit the accessibility and recognition of the public spaces for patients showed low values. This will lead to difficulties in using these spaces considering the characteristics of the elderly and limit the social functions of these wards. (Conclusions) This study derived the circulation structure of the wards of elderly care facilities based on J-graphs and analyzed their accessibility and recognition using space syntax. The analysis results will be used as basic data for designing the wards of elderly care facilities in the future. However, this study does not reflect the physical size of the unit spaces and the length of the circulation structures. More studies should be performed in the future to solve these issues.
