초록

The paper aims to put the spotlight the meaning of the self-statement in Lee Chung Jun's Wall of Rumour. The writer try to discuss the research subject into two layers. One is self-statement and the other is one out of the literary field. The established study on it has suggested that the self- statement in the novel is focused on the character Park Jun's inner-trauma and hidden power that disturbs the self-statement. But the argument can’t explain the problematic nature.
Meanwhile, the writer examines the problem to the politics in the literary subjects of its field not only the problem of personal self-statement. the literary field itself is the one for judgement, selection, and removal of the literature in other-ness to prove the literary appropriateness each literary subjects. Park Jun’s self-statement can be achieved with the new meaning when selection and exclusion of the literary subjects are regarded as intervened aspect. In special, the writer discussed the continual failure of Park Jun’s self-statement with the connection of the inner-structure in the literary field and could interpreted the bound author’s universal fate in the modern system.
Secondly, the writer focused on the problem of the origin and the desire in Park Jun’s self-statement through he performed the madman’s act. He was not so accepted as a subject of the self-statement in literary field that he played madman out of the literary field. But this performance was not simple dissemblance. His performance was the self-statement shown with the body out of the literary field. last but not least, the writer considered the Dr. Kim’s treatment as the external literary field that the origin and desire were explicated in Park Jun’s self-statement.
