중세국어 회상감동법과 감동회상법의 의미 (A Study on the Meaning of Retrospective-exclamatory Mood and Exclamatory-retrospective Mood in Middle Korean)

초록

중세국어 회상감동법과 감동회상법은 소위 회상법 ‘-더-’와 감동법 ‘-돗-’ 혹은 ‘-옷-’의 결합형으로 나타나는 것을 말한다. 회상법과 감동법의 순서로 결합하는 회상감동법은 감동법의 형태가 간접적인 형태로 제시되어 ‘-닷-’의 형태로 출현하고, 감동법과 회상법이 결합하는 감동회상법은 ‘-돗더-’의 형태로 출현한다. 회상법이 시제와 관련하여 과거를 나타내고 감동법이 확인의 양상을 표현한다고 하면 회상감동법은 과거사실의 확인 요소를 전달하는 수단이 된다. 이에 반하여 감동회상법은 확인이라는 양상의 표현을 회상하는 의미를 전달하는 것이 된다. 이러한 의미를 기존의 논의에서는 회상감동법이 새로운 깨달음을 나타내는 것, 감동회상법은 단순한 과거사실에 대한 감탄을 나타낸다고 설명한다. 하지만 감동법이 가지는 일반적인 사실, 다시 말하면 감동을 나타내는 선어말어미의 감동이라는 의미 기술은 이들의 의미 구분을 불확실하게 만드는 요인이 된다. 회상법과 감동법이라는 요소가 아직까지 많은 논의의 과정을 거치고 있는 것이기 때문에 이들의 변별적 의미를 찾는 것은 쉽지 않다. 최근에 와서 감동법은 양상의 의미를 가지는 것으로 논의하는 경향을 보여줌으로써 그 의미를 파악하는 또 다른 실마리를 제공한다. 이와 함께 회상감동법과 감동회상법의 요소에 주체존대법이 결합하는 ‘-더샷(더+시+옷)-’과 ‘-시닷(시+더+옷)-’의 구성과 객체존대법이 결합하는 ‘-ᅀᆞᆸ닷(ᅀᆞᆸ+더+옷)-’의 구성도 나타난다. 그리고 추측상과 회상감동법이 결합하는 ‘-리랏-’의 표현도 보인다.

영어초록

Retrospective-exclamatory mood and exclamatory-retrospective mood in middle Korean are combinations of the retrospective prefinal ending ‘-더(deo)-’ and the exclamatory prefinal endings ‘-돗(dos)-’ or ‘-옷(os)-’.
1. Exclamatory-retrospective mood appears as ‘-das-’, which is a combination of the retrospective prefinal ending ‘-deo-’ and the the exclamatory prefinal ending ‘-os-’, but it can also appears as ‘-랏(ras)-’ in special circumstances. the exclamatory prefinal ending ‘-os-’ is only recognized as a combinations of the retrospective prefinal ending ‘-deo-’, but it does not appear in an independent form.
2. In existing discussions, new knowledge is not appeared in the absence of any knowledge. Rather, it is the perception of a fact that is different from what was previously imagined or thought. Of course, there is an aspect of it being ‘new’, but it is the discovery of a situation where something that happened or was confirmed in the past is the opposite of what I thought.
3. In retrospective-exclamatory mood, the retrospective mood reveals a situation in which facts confirmed through past experience are recalled again in speech. However, at this time, the fact confirmed in the past reveals elements that are contrary to what was taken for granted before confirming the fact. It is a combination of tense-related recollection expressions and contradictory, emotional expressions of confirmation of new facts.
4. As ‘-deo-+-os-’ is realized as ‘-das>ras-’, the retrospective and exclamatory prefinal endings are indirectly confirmed. The meaning of confirmation revealed in ‘-geo->-eo-’ is accompanied by ‘-ri-’ of speculation, weakening the meaning of confirmation to the meaning of certainty.
5. Exclamatory-retrospective mood is the order in which exclamatory prefinal ending‘-dos-’ is arranged first, followed by the retrospective prefinal ending ‘-deo-’. The meaning of the exclamatory-retrospective mood makes it impossible to view the meaning of new knowledge as regular. Rather, it simply states retrospection of a past fact.
