李白 ＜懷思＞詩 譯解 (A Translation and Annotation of Li Bai’s “Huaisi”(懷思))

초록

This paper is to translate and describe the 11 poems of ＜懷思(Huai Si)-longing＞, which are included in ≪李太白文集 Li taibo anthology≫ volume 21. The meaning of ＜Huai Si＞ is to think, to miss, but the actual contents of the poem show his fondness for the old days. In order to get the meaning of the poems, I contrasted them with the poems in ＜懷古(Huai Gu)- think of the past＞ chapter in the introduction, and in the main, 11 works were interpreted and annotated, respectively. In the 11 poems in ＜Huai Si＞, titles of the first, third, fourth, ninth, 10th and 11th poem show places the speaker used to play in the old days. It can be seen that this is a poetic work of longing for the space that once resided in the past. Meanwhile, 2nd, 3rd, sixth, seventh, and eighth poem contain longing for certain people such as Cui ZongZhi(崔宗之) and He ZhiZhang(賀知章). Overall, therefore, the poetry of the ＜Huai Si＞ is seen to account for a high proportion of memories and recollections of his past, not of the historical past, compared to ＜Huai gu＞. In particular, the proportion of poems written in his late years was high, and in these poems, one could encounter a different charm from the poem of Li Bai in his youth, which was characterized by high spirit, rapid development, and extraordinary imagination. Through the deep sorrow of the great poet in his later years, I think it will help us see the poetic world of Li Bai.
