관계 관리를 통한 도매상 경쟁력 강화 방안: 냉난방기기 자재업을 중심으로 (How to Strengthen Wholesaler Competitiveness through Relationship Management: Focusing on the Materials Industry for Air-conditioning and Heating Equipment)

초록

본 연구의 목적은 대기업으로 인해 어려움을 겪고 있는 중소 도매상들의 경쟁력 강화 방안을 확인하기 위해 실시되었다. 중소 도매상들이 대기업 대비 가질 수 있는 경쟁력으로 관계 관리의 효과를 확인하기 위해 먼저 연구 대상으로 냉난방기기 자재업을 선정하였다. 해당 자재업은 중소 도매상이 주를 이루던 시장에 대기업이 진입하면서 어려움을 겪기 시작한 시장이며, 주 고객층은 냉난방기기 설치기사들이다. 본 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 먼저 냉난방기기 자재업 관련 산업 전반에 대한 조사를 실사하였고, 다음으로 관계 관련 변수들에 대한 이론적 고찰을 진행하였다. 다음으로 냉난방기기 설치기사들의 사업 현황과 가설 검증을 위해 주 고객층인 냉난방기기 설치기사 132명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 조사 결과, 냉난방기기 설치기사들의 거래 업체 선택 기준은 가운데 매장 위치, 인간관계, 판매 품목 수가 중요한 요인으로 확인되었으며, 중소 도매상들인 인간관계에서 대기업보다 경쟁력이 높은 것으로 확인되었다. 관계 변수 중 신뢰와 몰입이라는 변수를 사용하여 거래 만족도와 거래 지속 의도에 미치는 영향을 확인하였다. 분석 결과, 신뢰만이 거래 만족도와 거래 지속 의도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 추가로 설치기사를 대상으로 한 조사를 통해, 대기업들의 여러 불공정 거래 행위가 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 결과는 대기업의 불공정 거래 행위 속에서 중소 도매상들이 살아남기 위해서는 대기업들의 불공정 거래를 완화시키기 위한 노력과 더불어 중소 도매상들의 관계 관리 강화를 위한 노력이 필요함을 보여준다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study was to identify ways to strengthen the competitiveness of small and medium-sized wholesalers who are suffering from conglomerates. In order to confirm the effectiveness of relationship management as a competitive edge that small and medium-sized wholesalers can have compared to large companies, the air-conditioning and heating equipment materials business was first selected as a research subject. The material industry is a market that began to suffer as large companies entered the market, which was dominated by small and medium-sized wholesalers, and the main customer base is air conditioning and heating equipment installers. To achieve the purpose of this study, firstly, a due diligence survey was conducted on the entire industry related to air conditioning and heating equipment materials, and then theoretical considerations were conducted on the variables related to the relationship. Next, a survey was conducted targeting 132 air-conditioning and heating installation technicians, the main customer base, to verify the business status and hypotheses of air-conditioning and heating installation technicians. As a result of the survey, it was confirmed that the location of the center store, human relations, and number of items sold were important factors for selection criteria for air-conditioning installation technicians. Among the relationship variables, trust and commitment were used to confirm the effect on transaction satisfaction and intention to continue trading. As a result of the analysis, it was found that only trust had a positive effect on transaction satisfaction and intention to continue trading. In addition, through a survey targeting installers, it was confirmed that there are many unfair trade practices by large companies. These results show that in order for small and medium-sized wholesalers to survive in the midst of unfair trade practices by large corporations, efforts to mitigate unfair trade practices by large corporations and efforts to strengthen the relationship management of small and medium-sized wholesalers are necessary.
