초록

논술은 자신의 생각을 일정한 주제에 맞게 체계화하여 글쓰는 작업을 의미한다. 도덕 교과서의 내용에 대한 충분한 토의(discussion), 토론(debate)을 거친 후, 자기의 생각을 체계화하여 논리적으로 합당한 논술을 하면 올바른 가치관을 습득할 수 있다. 올바른 가치관을 습득하면 인지적 측면에서 도덕적 덕목에 대한 사고력과 판단력을 향상시키고, 정의적 측면에서 도덕적 열정과 의지를 갖게 되고, 행동적 측면에서 구체적으로 상황에 맞게 계획을 세워 궁극적으로 도덕적 행동을 하는데 이르게 된다.초등학교 4학년 논술 지도의 과정을 살펴보면 첫째, 초등학교 4학년 도덕과 교육과정 및 교과서를 분석하여 논술을 하기 위한 주제를 선정한다. 즉 개인, 가정ㆍ이웃ㆍ학교, 사회, 국가ㆍ민족 등 4영역으로 구성된 교과서의 교육과정 상 목표와 교과서의 학습목표를 분석하여 논술하기에 알맞은 주제를 선정하는 것이다. 둘째, 도덕성의 각 측면별로 학습지도 요소를 추출하여 논술의 내용으로 삼고 평가항목을 만든다. 즉 인지적 측면에서는 덕목의 뜻을 파악한 후, 덕목의 중요성을 인식하고 갈등 상황에서 판단하는 과정을 논술한다. 정의적 측면에서는 도덕적 모범사례를 통해 반성할 점과 본받을 점을 바탕으로 자신의 결심을 논술하면 된다. 행동적 측면에서는 다양한 도덕적 상황과 과정에 합당한 실천 행동을 정당화하는 논술을 하게 된다. 본고에서는 학습지도 요소를 중심으로 단계적으로 논술을 하기 위하여 인지적 접근, 정의적 접근, 행동적 접근 3개의 교수학습 과정안을 예시로 제시하였다.

영어초록

Writing an essay is a writing task to systematize opinion and express it under the certain topic.
First of all students need to discuss and debate enough over the content of moral textbook. Then when they systematize their thought and write a logically legitimate essay, students can acquire desirable values. Acquiring desirable values makes students put into good behavior. As desirable values have internal consistency, they are more likely to carry his or her values into a good behavior. Once students acquired desirable values, they could improve their thinking skills and judgement about moral virtues. Moreover, they are able to have moral passion and will in the affective aspect. In the behavioral aspect, they finally behave morally by planning their behavior appropriately in the context. The teaching process of essay writing is first to analyze moral education curriculum and textbook of 4th grade and then to choose the topic for essay. It means to choose adequate topic for essay after analyzing the learning object of textbook as well as the aim of curriculum, which consists of four domain such as Individual, family․neighborhood․school, society and nation․race. Second, it is to elicit learning element in each aspect of morality, which would be the content of essay and the evaluation items. In the cognitive aspect, students understand the meaning of virtues, recognize the importance of virtues and write an essay through the process of judging in the conflict situation. In the affective aspect, students write an essay based on what they reflected and imitated in the moral model case. In the behavioral aspect, while writing an essay, students justify their practical behavior that is (legitimate) suitable to a various moral context and procedure.
In this article, for the phased essay writing focused on the learning element, three kinds of teaching-learning lesson plan examples are provided in the cognitive, affective and behavioral approach.
