초록

최근 사회문제로 고조되는 20여 만명의 이민자와 다문화 가정 아동들의 문제를 감안할 때 다문화 문제는 때늦은 감이 있다. 이러한 문제는 한국사회에서의 문화적 차이와 편견, 언어문제 등의 어려움을 겪는 다문화 가정 자녀들의 어려움은 물론, 이들과함께 생활하는 일반 아동들 또한 새로이 접하는 다문화의 낮설음에 따른 학교 환경 속에서의 다문화 및 다문화 아동과의 조화 및 적응이라는 문제와 맞물려 있는 상황이다.
이러한 현실적 흐름에서 본 연구는 최근 우리 사회의 현실에서 다문화 문화에 노출되는 아동들에 대한 증대되는 다문화 교육의 필요성에 따라 DBAE에 기초한 미술프로그램이 우리 아동들의 다문화 인식과 정체성에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 알아보는 것이었다. 이에 따라 개발된 DBAE 미술프로그램을 중심으로 이루어진 다문화 수업이아동의 다원주의적 사고에 어떠한 실질적인 영향을 미치고 있는지를 살펴보았다. 또한효과적인 다문화 미술프로램의 개발에 대한 학문적 차원에서의 근거와 더불어, 나타난결과 분석을 통해 DBAE 미술프로그램이 다문화 미술교육의 내용 및 방법 면의 개선방안과 아동의 효과적인 타문화 이해와 적응력의 개선에 미미하지만 유의미한 효과를지닌다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 결과적으로 다문화 교육과 연관된 이러한 연구는 효과적인 다문화 미술프로램의 개발 방안의 근거를 모색할 수 있음을 의미하는 것이며, 궁극적으로 다문화를 접하는 아동들에게 타문화의 이해와 서로에 대한 존중과 조화를 이루낼 수 있는 인성교육의 가능성 또한 발견하게 하였다.

This study intends to present the basic data for multi-cultural educational activity relate to DBAE program for the children of schematic stage, and reviews the effects of such activity on children’s recognition and anti-bias on multi-culturalism. The topics of this study are two main subjects, one of which is how art activity on DBAE-based program will affect the children’s recognition on multi-culturalism, the other of which is also what is effect of the art program on children’s bias on multi-culturalism.
This study which is applied DBAE art program which contains art history, aesthetic and art critic as well as painting was accomplished for the 12 children of the 3rd of the schematic stage as the experiment group.
For 8 weeks from 8th, June to 6th, September, 2012, it was performed during art class after regular class, every Friday, beside the summer vacation. This experimental study of multi-cultural art activity was planned and conducted for 8 weeks with the 3rd grade students of elementary school “C” at Seosan-City. In order to inspect the results of the experiment, a test was conducted with the multi-cultural recognition and bias materials before the activity of DBAE program, and another test was conducted after finishing the activity of program with 8 weeks.
