Line drawing is a technique for depicting flowers with monochromatic ink line in the Chinese traditional painting, characterized by concise and simple lines and general and vivid images. The line drawings of flower sketch display independent aesthetics. It belongs to the bird-and-flower painting category in terms of subject, and is also the basis of the category.
In different times, line drawings of flower sketch showed various formal characteristics and spiritual connotations. Artists kept exploring the unified beauty of content and form in line drawings of flower sketch. Under the context of today’s world cultural pattern, the exchange and integration of Chinese and western cultures has entered a new stage.
