건축물 경관조명 디자인 선호유형 연구 (A Study on the Type of Preference of Architectural Landscape Lighting Design)

초록

본 논문은 공공에게 비춰지는 건축물 경관조명의 감성적 요인을 조사하고 그 결과를 분석하여, 향후 건축물 경관조명 디자인에 반영하기 위한 연구이다. 이러한 목적으로 국내의 건축물 경관조명 사례를 선별하여 주관성 조사를 실시한 결과, 건축물과 조명 그리고 경관의 선호 비중을 중심으로 각기 독특한 특성을 가진 6개의 유형을 추출하였다. 제1유형은 ‘건축물 형태 지원형’으로 조명이 건축물의 형태를 효과적으로 지원하는지에 초점을 둔다. 제2유형은 ‘건축물 용도 충실형’으로 조명연출 및 효과가 건축물 본연의 용도에 부합 하는가에 관심을 갖고, 제3유형은 조명을 건축물의 기능적ㆍ형태적 특징을 부각시키는 중요한 요소로 보는 ‘건축물 특징 부각형’이다. 제4유형은 ‘조명 효과 강조형’으로 무미건조한 건축물이 조명 효과에 의해 새로운 컨셉으로 다시 변모된 모습을 보여주는 것을 선호하며, 제5유형은 건축물 경관조명 디자인을 이루는 대부분의 요소보다는 오로지 조명 색상만을 중시하는 ‘조명 색상 중시형’이다. 그리고 제6유형은 ‘조명-건축물 조화형’으로 조명이 건축물과 연출적ㆍ형태적 조화는 물론 보행자 및 주변 경관과의 조화를 이루는 것이 가장 중요하다고 보는 유형이다. 본 연구에서 추출한 6가지 유형은 건축물 경관조명의 디자인 컨셉 수립시, 유효한 가이드라인이 될 것으로 기대된다.

영어초록

This study aims to investigate emotional preference factors of structure landscape lighting to citizens in the urban environment at night, to analyze the result and to reflect the result to design architectural landscape lighting in the future. For this purpose, the study conducted a subjectivity survey using examples of Korean landscape lighting and analyzed the type of preference of architectural landscape lighting design, and as a result, it deduced 6 types having unique characteristics focusing on the proportion of structure, lighting, and landscape. The first type is ‘the type for supporting the shape of structure,’ focusing on how the function of landscape lighting supports the shape of structure. The second one is ‘the type for emphasizing the use of structure,’ paying attention to whether the display and effects of lighting correspond to the primary use of structure, and the third one is ‘the type for emphasizing the characteristics of structure,’ considering lighting as an important factor for emphasizing the functional and morphological characteristics of structure. The fourth one is ‘the type for emphasizing the lighting effect,’ preferring to show how boring building can be changed with a new concept by the lighting effect, the fifth one is ‘the type for focusing on the lighting color,’ which emphasizes only the lighting colors rather than other factors composing the architectural landscape lighting design. Finally, the sixth one is ‘the type for harmony lighting with structure.’ Besides displaying or morphological balance between lighting and structure, this type emphasizes that it is the most important to balance lighting and structure with pedestrians and the surrounding landscape. The 6 types extracted from this study are expected to be a valid guideline when making a design concept for architectural landscape lighting.
