韓国人日本語学習者の日･韓意見文における 論理構造に関する一考察 –トゥールミンモデルを手がかりに–

초록

For preceding research on the compositions that learners write in Japanese, it is identified that most learners can write sentences logically in their mother language, while they have a lack of linguistic ability and way of thinking in writing sentences in a foreign language, Japanese. Like the research paper, few preceding research has as yet, been conducted that analyzed the compositions written in mother language and Japanese by learners from Korea, from the perspectives of the structures of sentences.
In this context, the research paper studied opinions written in the Japanese and Korean languages by Japanese language-learning learners from Korea, from the structural view points; conducted a comparative analysis of the two points.
Selected as the analytic research subjects were each 26 collection of compositions written in Japanese and Korean by the Japanese language-majoring undergraduates from Korea in universities in South Korea. The task of the compositions is to write opinions that explain about subjective thoughts of which is right or wrong as to a theme. As for an analys is of each opinion whose aim is to present ‘logic’, the research paper utilized “Toulmin Model,” devised by Toulmin,S.(1958).
This model establishes the basic factors of logic as the six principles: arguments, data, reasoning, determinatives, amplifications, and disputes. The significance of this model utilized for an analysis of opinions is to substantiate sentence elements, structures and logic processes established by writers.
The analytic research outcomes on opinions written by 26 learners, with the use of “Toulmin Model” indicate that the Japanese and Korean languages are consisted of three factors: arguments, reasoning and data; that the two languages have necessary conditions for logic. Also, the outcomes suggest that any structures of the composition written in the Japanese and Korean languages by a person are not entirely same; each language makes difference in linguistic logic structures.
Based on Toulmin Model, this research paper illustrated and conducted a qualitative analysis of total eight logic structures of the Japanese and Korean languages written by four learners. The analytic results show that the differences of logic structures used by learners are determined by the clarity of some arguments; data supporting those arguments; the types and contents of basics of those arguments; the combination with arguments and data; determinants; factors of disputes. In particular, factors of disputes are identified to differ from the functions, depending on what, how and when disputes are made; to influence the logic structures.
As stated above, the main goal of this research paper is to analyze logic structures of Japanese and Korean compositions, with the tool of Toulmin Model; to clarify how each logic factor functions in the process of reasoning opinions; conduct a comparative analysis of the structural characteristics that Korean and Japanese writing compositions have.
