수사적 역할에 따른 수사적 특성 분석 - 윤석열 대통령의 검찰총장 취임사부터 대통령 후보자 수락 연설문까지 (Rhetorical characteristics according to the changes in Rhetorical role - From the Attorney General to the Presidential candidate)

초록

인간의 역할은 청중(audience)이 누구냐에 따라 화자(rhetor)의 역할이 결정되며 이를 수사적 역할(rhetorical role)이라고 부른다. 당시 수사적 역할이 발설하고 있는 수사가 진행되고 있는 시·공간이 수사적 상황(rhetorical situation)이다.
본 연구는 화자의 수사적 역할을 중심으로 역할 변화에 따른 수사적 특성에 주목했다. 또한 역할별 수사적 특성을 확인하기 위해, 수사적 역할이 존재한 수사적 상황을 먼저 살펴보았다.
주요 분석 대상으로 윤석열 대통령이 검찰총장 취임부터 퇴임 이후 정치에 입문하여 대통령 후보자가 되는 수사적 상황에 주목했다. 역할별(검찰총장, 정치인, 대통령 후보자) 수사적 상황을 비처의 상황분석(긴급성, 청중, 제약요소)을 통해 살펴보고 역할 변화에 따른 수사적 특성을 확인하고자 했다.
연구 결과, 윤석열 대통령은 검찰총장에서 정치인이라는 실제 사회적 역할 전환이 뚜렷했고, 그것이 각 텍스트에도 잘 드러나 수사적 역할에 따른 수사의 특성에 차이를 보였다. 특히 상황분석 요소 가운데 특히 청중이 명확하게 달라지는 것을 확인할 수 있었는데, 청중이 누구냐에 따라 화자의 역할이 결정된다는 점을 다시 상기시켜보면, 수사적 역할 변화를 명확하게 했다고 판단된다.
또한, 역할이 변화하면서 구어체 스타일이 증가하고, 은유, 사례 제시, 반문하는 종결어미 사용으로 집중 환기 등 다양한 표현이 등장했다. 또한 비판 대상 지칭은 매우 명확해지고, 표현은 다소 거칠다고 생각될 만큼 공격적으로 변화하였다. 특히 이러한 특징은 정치 선언 기자회견문에 가장 두드러지게 나타나는데, 검찰총장에서 정치인으로 역할 전환이 완전히 이루어졌음을 보여주기 위한 전략으로 보인다. 본 연구는 그간 국내에서는 잘 이루어지지 않았던, 한 명의 정치 리더의 역할별 수사적 특성을 확인했다는 점에서 의의를 가진다.

영어초록

The role of a human is determined by who the audience is, and this is called a ‘rhetorical role’. At that time, the time and space in which the rhetoric is underway, in which the rhetorical role is revealed, is a rhetorical situation.
This study focused on the rhetorical role of the rhetor and focused on the rhetorical characteristics according to the role change. In addition, in order to confirm the rhetorical characteristics of each role, the rhetorical situation in which the rhetorical role exists was first examined.
As a major analysis target, we paid attention to the rhetorical situation in which President Yoon entered politics from the inauguration of the Attorney General to the retirement and became a presidential candidate. The rhetorical situation of each role was examined through Bitzer's situation analysis, and the rhetorical characteristics of the role change were to be confirmed.
As a result of the study, President Yoon’s actual social role shift from the prosecutor general to a politician was clear, and it was well revealed in each text, showing differences in the characteristics of the rhetoric according to the rhetorical role. In particular, among the context analysis factors, it was confirmed that the audience was clearly different
In addition, as the role changed, colloquial styles increased, and various expressions such as metaphor, case presentation, and intensive ventilation emerged using the return ending mother. In addition, the criticism target reference became very clear, and the expression changed aggressively enough to be thought to be somewhat rough. In particular, this characteristic is most prominent in the press conference of the political declaration, which seems to be a strategy to show that the role has been completely changed from the prosecutor general to the politician. This study is significant in that it confirmed the rhetorical characteristics of each role of one political leader, which has not been well conducted in Korea.
