중국 전통 장신구 속 연화문에 대한 응용 연구 (On the Application of Lotus Pattern in Chinese Traditional Jewelry)

초록

현대 사회과학 기술은 지속적으로 발전하고 있으며이에 따라 정보 기술 또한 빠르게 발전하고 있다. 전세계의 문화 교류는 점점 더 밀접해지고 빈번해지고있다. 중국은 오랜 역사와 문화를 자랑하며, 세계 문화유산의 중요한 구성 중 하나로서 국내․외 전문가및 학자들의 관심과 주목을 끌고 있다.
중국의 전통 장신구 디자인에는 선조들의 지혜와혁신이 담겨있어, 현대인들이 연구하고 사유하며 활용할 가치가 크다. 중국의 전통 장신구 디자인에서 문양디자인은 필수적이며 중요한 구성 요소이다. 연화문(莲花纹)은 독특한 상징과 민속 문화를 지니고 있으며, 당시의 문화를 내포하고 사상을 표현하는 문양이다. 그리하여 중국 전통 장신구 속 연화문을 연구함으로써 현대 장신구 디자인에 새로운 사고를 제공하고, 전통문화의 계승과 발전을 위한 새로운 방법을 모색하고자 한다. 연구는 학술 전문서적, 학위논문, 서적, 인터넷 서치 등의 문헌 자료를 통해 조사하였다. 연구범위는 장식의 기능에 따라 시대별 머리 장식, 목 장식, 장신구, 액세서리를 포함하였다.
Ⅱ장은 연화문에 대하여 고찰하였으며 연화문의 함의와 민속 문화에서 다자다손, 길상과 행복, 고결함과청렴함, 불교로 구분하여 문양의 상징과 장신구의 특징을 분석하였다. Ⅲ장 연화문의 특징과 발전 변화에서는 원시 시대부터 춘추전국시대, 진한/위진남북조, 송․원, 명․청, 현대까지 문양의 변천사를 담았다.
연구 결과, 연화문은 단순한 형태부터 시작하여 복잡한 형태로 발전하고 단독문양으로 사용되다 점차다른 문양과 조합․결합되어 사용됨을 알 수 있었다.
오랜 역사를 가진 연화문은 사회의 변화와 민족의 정서, 아름다운 상징을 담고 있으며 당시 사회의 기술력과 발전을 다양한 관점에서 반영한다. 연화문은 시간, 문화, 경제의 발전과 함께 중국 현대 장신구 디자인의중요한 주제 중 하나로 자리 잡았으며 많은 외국 디자이너들의 호평을 받고 있어 지금까지 장신구 디자인에서 빠질 수 없는 중요한 요소가 되었다. 연화문으로 장식된 전통 장신구에 대한 연구는 경제, 정치, 문화, 과학기술, 공예 등 여러 측면에서 다각도로 분석되어 중국 전통 장신구의 발전 과정을 전반적으로 이해할 수 있도록 한다. 동시에, 시대별 연화문에 나타난 특징과 상징을 통해 중국의 전통문화를 이해할 수있다.

영어초록

Modern social science and technology are continuously evolving, and information technology is advancing rapidly. Cultural exchanges around the world are becoming increasingly close and frequent. China, with its long history and rich culture, is an important part of the world’s cultural heritage, attracting the attention and interest of domestic and international experts and scholars.
Traditional Chinese jewelry design embodies the wisdom and innovation of the ancestors, making it highly valuable for modern research, contemplation, and application. Among the elements of traditional Chinese jewelry design, patterns are essential and significant.
The Lotus Pattern (莲花纹) is unique in its symbolism and folk culture, reflecting the culture and thoughts of the time. Therefore, studying the Lotus Pattern in traditional Chinese jewelry can provide new perspectives for modern jewelry design and explore new methods for the inheritance and development of traditional culture. This research was based on reviewing academic books, theses, publications, and internet searching. The scope of this research includes head ornaments, neck ornaments, jewelry, and accessories, categorized by their decorative features across different eras.
Chapter Ⅱ explores the moral of Lotus Pattern, and divides it into themes of numerous offspring and longevity, auspiciousness and happiness, honest and upright, and Buddhism according to its symbolism and characteristics in jewelry. Chapter Ⅲ covers the characteristics and development of the Lotus Pattern by tracing its evolution from the primitive period through the Spring and Autumn Period, the Qin, Han, Wei, Jin, Northern and Southern Dynasties, Song, Yuan, Ming, Qing, and modern era. The research indicates that the Lotus Pattern evolved from simple to complex forms, initially used as a single motif and gradually combined with other patterns.
The Lotus Pattern, with its long history, embodies social changes, ethnic sentiments, and beautiful symbolism, reflecting the technological and developmental state of society from various perspectives. It has become an important theme in modern Chinese jewelry design, gaining acclaim from many foreign designers, and remains an indispensable element in jewelry design today. The study of traditional jewelry adorned with the Lotus Pattern allows for a comprehensive understanding of the development process of Chinese traditional jewelry from economic, political, cultural, scientific, and craftsmanship perspectives. Simultaneously, the characteristics and symbolism of the Lotus Pattern across different eras offer insights into traditional Chinese culture.
