마쓰무라 다케오(松村武雄) 『일본동화집(日本童話集)』의 출전 고찰 (A Study on the source of Matsumura Takeo’s Japan fairy tale collection)

초록

田中梅吉は朝鮮総督府学務局に提出した報告書(1917)に基づいて、1924年9 月に『朝鮮童話集』(朝鮮総督府)を刊行した。同年同月に松村武雄はそれまで 出版された東洋･西洋の文献説話と口伝説話を参照し『日本童話集』の中に、 植民地朝鮮の説話を収録している。1924年まで朝鮮に滞在したこともなく、 朝鮮語を駆使できなかった松村が限られた条件の中で、朝鮮説話を収録した 過程を実証することができた。本稿では具体的に松村が収録した27編の朝鮮説話の典拠を具体的に解明することができた。前代の説話集との具体的な対 照分析を通して考察した結果、松村の説話集は高木敏雄の説話集と深い関わ りを持っていることが確認できた。高木と松村は問題意識と関心という側面 で非常に類似している。松村は高木の伝播論に立脚した説話の移動と伝播に 関心を持ち、関連説話を収録したと思われる。実際に、松村は高木の説話集 から1編、高木が取り上げた『慵齋叢話』などの文献説話集から延べ9編を採 用し、高橋亨の『朝鮮の物語集』から7編、三輪環の『伝説の朝鮮』から8編 を採って、文献説話集と口伝説話集から延べ25編を採択したことが確認でき た。松村の説話集の後半部に収録された<26兎の目玉>と<27宝石捜し>はア-レ ン(Allen)の英文説話集から採択したことを実証的に検証できた。1908年に薄 田斬雲の<朝鮮叢話>(『暗黒なる朝鮮』所収)を皮切りに、1910年代·1920年代 に数多くの日本語朝鮮説話集が刊行された。このような状況の中で、松村は 1924年に東洋·西洋の文献を参考にして、日本説話集の中に植民地朝鮮の説話 を収録した。本稿では松村の説話論に対する具体的な検討の一環として、ま ずは松村の説話集の典拠を中心にその影響関係を考察した。松村の説話論と その改作様相に対する考察は今後の課題である。

영어초록

This study, as part of the concrete examination of Matsumura’s narratology, considered the influencing relationship focusing on the original text of Matsumura’s Fairy Tales. In September 1924, Tanaka Umekichi published Chosun Collection of Fairy Tales on the basis of the report of selected documents for Chosun fairy tales that was submitted to the Education Bureau of the Japanese Government-General of Korea. At the same period of time, in Tokyo, Matsumura included the fairy tales of colonial Chosun entitled “ Japanese Fairy Tales” on the basis oral folk tales and literature narratives that were published by then. Matsumura who has never stayed in Chosun and couldn’t speak Korean language until 1924 recorded the Chosun fairy tales within those limits. This study concretely explained the original text of all of 27 Chosun fairy tales included by Matsumura. As a result of specific comparison with previous fairy tales, I verified that Matsumura’s Fairy Tales has many similarities with Takagi Toshio’s Fairy Tales in regard to the critical mind and main concerns. Matsumura, being interested in movement and dissemination of fairy tales based on the Culture Diffusion Theory of Takagi, recorded the Chosun fairy tales and included 9 pieces from literature narratives, including 1 piece from Takagi’s Fairy Tales, 7 pieces from Volume 5 of YongJaeChonghua that was introduced by Takagi, “King’s ears are donkey’s” from SamgukYusa, “Bangi story” of Silla from Youyangjapjo of China. I also identified that Matsumura selected 8 pieces from Miwa Tamaki’s Fairy Tales, 7 pieces from Takahashi Toru’ Fairy Tales, totally 25 pieces.
I verified he selected “eyes of rabbit” and “treasure hunt of cat and dog” that was included at the end of the book from English Fairy Tales of Allen. Starting with the <Chosun chongwa> of Usuda Zanun in 1908, a number of Japanese Korean narrative collection in 1910-1920s was published. In such a situation, Matsumura will refer to the literature of the East-West in 1924 , it was recorded colonial Chosunof narrative in Japan narrative collection. First, as part of a specific examination in this study for the narrative theory of Matsumura, it was considered the narrative collection of referenced by Matsumura of narrative collection. Matsumura is create your own fairy tale collections with reference to this that have been published previously. Consideration for the narrative theory and its retelling aspects of Matsumura is the next theme.
