초록

This study reports costumes for officials who took part in Bongsim held in Jungyeongmyo Tomb and Younggyeongmyo Tomb at Samcheok, Gangwon Province in 1899. First, official’s formal costume included Jeogori, pants, Beoseon and Haengjeon in addition to a bright-colored Durumagi and a black-colored Jeonbok. Official wore short hair, a horsehair-woven headband in addition to an official hat on a skullcap. Second, Gangwon Province Governor wore a horsehair-woven headband with carved golden pieces and an official hat with patterned horns. Heukdalryeong, which made with cloud-patterned silk was decorated with the rank badge of two cranes on the chest and the back. He wore a waist belt known as Hakjeongdae in addition to a purple-strapped ivory identity tag. He also wore black velvet boots with thick flat soles. Third, Samcheok Governor wore a horsehair-woven headband with hawksbill or black-colored pieces in addition to an official hat with plain horns. Heukdalryeong was decorated with the rank badge of a crane or a tiger on the chest and the back. A plain silver belt was worn at one’s side, and a blue-strapped boxwood identity tag was applied to the left side of a belt. He also wore black velvet boots with thick flat soles. Lastly, Chambong wore a horsehair-woven headband with hawksbill or black horn pieces in addition to a horned identity tag. Heukdalryeong was decorated with the rank badge of a crane on the chest and the back. A black horn belt was applied at one’s side, and black velvet boots were worn. A birchwood identity tag with a blue-strapped was applied to the left side of a belt.
