춘천 중도 레고랜드 조성부지 지석묘군의 조성 시기와 전개 (Construction Period and Development of the Dolment Cluster in the Legoland Site in Jungdo, Chuncheon)

초록

중도 레고랜드 조성부지는 초기 철기시대까지 포함할 때 지석묘 등 150기의 무덤이 조사되었다는 점에서 춘천분지의 청동기~초기 철기시대 무덤 정황을 파악하는데 매우 중요하다. 보고자는 퇴적층을 단위로 하여 토층을 구분한 뒤, 생활유구와 지석묘 등의 토층 소속 관계를 설명하였다. 이러한 방식의 토층 구분은 토층의 거시적인 퇴적단위를 이해하는데는 도움이 되지만, 유구군 간의 단차를 파악하는데 큰 도움이 되지는 않는다. 여기에서는 이러한 점을 고려하여, 기존 보고된 지석묘가 포함되어 있는 17개 구역 토층의 병행 관계를 파악하고 각 토층과 유구와의 관계를 재조정하였다.
레고랜드 조성부지에서 조사된 지석묘는 전체 4개 단계로 구분된다. 제I단계는 석곽묘, 목관묘, 석관형묘, 지석묘가 소수 조성되는 시기로서 연대는 기원전 6~5세기이다. 제II단계는 절대 다수의 지석묘가 집중 조성되는 시기로서 연대는 기원전 4~3세기이다. 제III단계는 지석묘 조성이 급감하는 시기로 연대는 기원전 2~1세기 3/4분기이다. 제IV단계는 지석묘가 변형된 묘역식석묘가 극소수 조성되는 시기로서 연대는 기원전 1세기 4/4분기~기원후 1세기이다. 레고랜드 조성부지 지석묘기 제I단계 직전에 춘천분지에 지석묘가 채택되었을 것으로 여겨지는데, 성행기는 레고랜드 조성부지와 같을 것으로 판단된다.

영어초록

In view of the fact that 150 tombs, including dolmens, had been investigated, at the Legoland site in Jungdo from all applicable periods including the Early Iron Age, it is very important in determining the context of tombs from the Bronze Age to the Early Iron Age in the Chuncheon Basin. This reporter explained the relationship between occupation features and soil horizons, such as dolmens, etc., after classifying the soil horizons on the basis of sedimentary layers. Although such classification of soil horizons is helpful in understanding the macroscopic depositional units of the soil horizons, it is not so useful in understanding the height difference between feature clusters. Taking it into consideration, this study identified the parallel relationship between soil horizons in 17 areas with previously reported dolmens and readjusted the relationship between each of the soil horizons and features.
The dolmens investigated at the Legoland site are divided into four stages as a whole. Stage I is dated from the 6th to 5th centuries B.C. when a small number of stone coffin burials, wooden coffin tombs, stone coffin shaped burials, and dolmens were constructed. Stage II is dated from the 4th to 3th centuries B.C. when the vast majority of dolmens were intensively constructed. Stage III is dated from the 2nd to the 3rd quarter of the 1st centuries B.C. when the construction of dolmens was drastically reduced. Stage IV is dated from the 4th quarter of the 1st century B.C. to the 1st century A.D. when very few grave boundary dolmens were constructed as a result of the transformation of dolmens. The dolmens found in the Legoland site are believed to be adopted in the Chuncheon Basin just before the Stage I, but the period when the dolmens were popular there is judged to coincide with the case at the Legoland site.
