漢城地域 百濟 橫穴式石室墓 硏究 - 서울 방이동·가락동 석실묘를 중심으로 (A Study on Baekje Stone-Chamber Tombs in Hanseong Area- Focusing on Stone Tombs at Bangi-dong and Garak-dong in Seoul-)

초록

최근 한성기 백제영역에서 발굴조사된 횡혈식석실묘의 존재는 많은 논쟁이 있어 왔음에도 불구하고, 백제의 중앙과 지방의 관계를 검토할 수 있는 중요한 자료라는 인식에는 의견을 함께한다. 본고에서는 한강유역에서 조사된 서울 방이동·가락동 횡혈식석실묘의 구조 분석을 통하여 백제적 특성을 이해하고, 한성백제 중앙의 횡혈식석실묘 존재상을 검토하고자 하였다. 한성지역에서 조사된 횡혈식석실묘의 구조는 묘실평면에서 방형과 장방형의 전통이 확인되는데, 중심지에 분포하는 방이동·가락동 고분군 내에서는 모든 유형의 석실묘가 혼재되어 있는 모습을 보이는 반면, 외곽지역에서는 장방형평면에 우편재의 연도로 정형화된 모습의 석실묘가 확인된다. 이러한 고분의 분포는 축조상의 선후관계와 위계차를 추론할 수 있는데, 백제 중앙사회 내 횡혈식석실묘 수용 초기의 다양성이 점차 정형화되어 한성 외곽지역에 적용되는 과정으로 파악할 수 있다. 또한 한성지역 내 석실묘의 부장유물이 토기와 착장형 장신구류에 제한된 모습을 보인다. 특히 하남 광암동·성남 판교·서울 우면동 일대에서 조사된 고분군에서는 금제 이식과 같은 착장형 장신구만이 부장되었을 뿐 별다른 위세품이나 武器類의 부장이 거의 확인되지 않는다. 이와같이 제한적인 유물부장 모습은 한성백제 도성의 중앙과 한성외곽 영역, 그리고 주변지역에 대한 영향력을 살피는데 기초자료가 될 수 있다. 따라서 한성 백제 중앙의 영역 내에 분포하는 횡혈식석실묘를 기준으로 도성 내 반경 20㎞이내의 한강유역권에 해당하는 범위를, 백제중앙에 의하여 直接的인 統制權에 포함된 한성지역일 가능성을 추론하였다. 한성지역 백제 횡혈식석실묘와의 비교를 통하여 방이동·가락동 횡혈식석실묘의 조영주체와 귀속문제에 대하여 적극적으로 검토하는 과정에서 논지의 비약이 있을 수 있다. 그러나 한성지역 내 횡혈식석실묘에 대한 해석의 빈곤은 한성기 백제 지방사회에서 확인되는 고고학적 현상을 이해하는 데 많은 한계를 제시한다. 따라서 본고에서는 적극적인 자료의 분석을 통하여 해석하고자 하였으나, 논리적 비약이나 부족한 부분은 지속적으로 보완하겠다.

영어초록

While there are many controversies over the existence of stone-chamber tombs excavated from Baekje area of Hanseong Period, there are consent that it is critical material to review the relation between the center and province at Baekje. This study aims to understand its feature of Baekje through structural analysis of stone-chamber tombs at Bangi-dong and Garak-dong, Seoul around Han-river basin, and to review the existence status of stone-chamber tombs at the center of Hanseong Baekje. Structure of stone-chamber tombs excavated from Hanseong area is found to have the tradition of square and rectangle shape at the plane of burial chamber. While all types of stone chamber tones are mixed in the old tomb site of Bangi-dong anGd arak-dong distributed at the central site, standardized shape of stone-chamber tombs with rectangle plane and right-sided materials is found at the outskirt area. Such distribution of old tomb can be used to examine the sequence of construction and can be recognized as the processn iwhich the diversity of stonechamber tombs at the early period of acceptance in the central society of Baekje had been gradually standardized and applied to outskirt area of Hanseon.g In addition, artifacts buried at stone-chamber tombs in Hanseong area are confined to earthenware, wearing type accessories. In particular, almost no special show-off artifacts or weapons except wearing type accessories such as golden ear ornaments at old tomb site excavated from Gwangam-dong, Hanam·Pankyo, Seongnam·Womyeon-dong, Seoul. Such limited status of relic burial can serve as basic materials to examine the influence on central area or outskirt area of capital city of Baekje, Hanseong, as well as surrounding area. In light of this, this study deduced the area corresponding to Han-river basin within 20㎞ radius from capital with stone-chamber tombs distributed in the central area of Baekje, Hanseong, to be Hanseong area included under direct control of central area of Baekje. There may be some jump of logic in the process of actively examining the main entity of creating stone-chamber tombs at Bangi-dong and Garak-dong and its jurisdiction issue through comparison with stone-chamber tombs of Baekje in Hanseong area. However, the lack of interpretation on stone-chamber tombs in Hanseong area posed too many restriction in understanding of archaeological phenomenon found at Baekje provincial society of Hanseong period. In this regard, this study tried to understand it through active analysis of data, but continuously complement jump of logic or insufficient areas.
