‘코나투스’ㆍ‘몸[身]’ㆍ‘살[肉]’ㆍ‘알[卵]’ 에 대한 문화-생태학적 독해 (The Cultural- Ecological Reading on 'Conatus'․'Body'․'Flesh'․'Egg')

초록

본 연구는 후설의 몸과 메를로 퐁티의 살의 현상학을 ‘vs'의 관계가 아닌 ’/‘의 관계로 연속적으로 해석하고자 한다. 본 연구가 양자의 관계를 ’/‘로 읽은 것은, 그들 사이의 차이성을 인정한다고 하더라도, 메를로 퐁티는 후설의 현상학적 관점을 보다 철저하게 천착해나가기 때문이다. 특히 본 연구는 양자 사이의 연속적 관계를 문화생태학적 관점에서 접근하려고 한다. 후설/메를로 퐁티의 관계는 낮은 혹은 온건한 생태론에서 보다 심층적인 혹은 급진적인 생태론으로의 연속적 매트릭스를 이루고 있다.
본 연구는 문화생태학적 코드로서 몸/살을 중심으로 후설과 메를로 퐁티 사이의 대칭적 구도를 확인한다. 특히 근대에 의해 일그러진 주체중심의 비생태학적 구도를 대칭적 구도로 재구성하는 데 관심을 가질 것이다. 이 대칭성이 근거하고 있는 현상학적 유기체론은 들뢰즈의 비유기체적 존재론과 무늬를 달리한다. 또한 나와 타자 사이의 대칭성을 타자중심의 비대칭적 구조로 읽은 레비나스와도 결을 달리 하고 있다. 하지만 레비나스와 들뢰즈의 비유기체적-비대칭적인 구조는 현상학을 인간중심의 편협한 유기체론으로 인색하게 읽는 데서 비롯된 것이라고도 말할 수 있다.

영어초록

This study attempts to interpret the phenomenon of Edmund Husserl's body and Merleau Ponty's flesh as a relationship of '/' rather than a relationship of 'vs'. The research has read the relationship between the two as '/' because although it acknowledges the difference between them, Merleau Ponty embodies the phenomenological view of hindsight more thoroughly. In particular, this study attempts to approach the continuous relationship between the two from a cultural ecological perspective. Husserl/Merleau Ponty's relationship forms a continuous matrix from low or moderate ecology to deep or radical ecology.
This study checks the symmetrical structure between the Edmund Husserl and Merleau Ponty centering on the body/ flesh as a cultural ecological code. In particular, it will be interested in reconstructing the non-ecological structure of the subject-centered distorted by modern times into a symmetrical one. The phenomenological organism theory based on this symmetry differs from the non-organic ontology of the Gilles Deleuze. Also, it is different from Levinas who read the symmetry between I and the alter ego in an asymmetrical structure. However, it can also be said that the non-organic and non-symmetrical structure of Levinas and Deleuze resulted from the stingy reading of phenomenology as a narrow and human centered organism.
This study, on the premise of this view, will read anew the series of matrix from the 'body' of the later genetic phenomenology of Edmund Husserl and the early Merleau Ponty to the 'flesh' of the later Merleau Ponty as the cultural ecological matrix. In particular, this study will identify the cultural ecological link between Edmund Husserl and Merleau Ponty , centering on the stratum-model and chiasm, analogy and chiasm, and problems of touch and vision.
