초록

The aim of this paper is to examine the semantic relation between derivative by
negative prefix, ‘mol-’, ‘mu-’, ‘mi-’, ‘bul-’, ‘bi-’, and its base. On previous
research derivative by negative prefix is regarded as antonym of its base, but some
proofs that their relation is not antonymy are found. Therefore this study
investigates the relation of derivative by negative prefix and its base. First of all,
this study discussed criteria of antonym, then analysed the relation of derivative by
negative prefix and its base. Bases of derivatives are classified 3 group by their
semantic feature; [-stative, -active], [＋stative, -active] and [-stative, ＋active],
and bases of each group are derivative by negative prefix is not antonym of its base,
but negative. Only semantic relation of derivative of ‘bul-’ and its [＋stative,
-active] base is antonym, others are negatives.
