迂廻와 複眼의 한문학 수업: 고려대학교 한문학과 4개 전공 교과목의 사례 (The Detour and Double-Eyed Sinographic Literatures Class: Cases of Four Majors in the Department of Sinographic Literatures at Korea University)

초록

필자는 대학에서 강의를 맡은 이래 ‘한문(학) 아닌 것으로 한문(학) 하기, 한문(학)으로 한문(학) 아닌 것 보기’를 하나의 지향이자 방법으로 삼고 있다. 그 일환으로 영화를 비롯한 영상물을 꾸준히 활용해왔다. 2020년대 이후 지식․정보의 생산과 유통에 있어서 영상의 비중이 커져감에 따라 영화․드라마․유튜브 콘텐츠와 같은 매체는 대학 한문교육에서 비중 있는 보조도구로 자리 잡으며 그것들을 활용한 수업 사례의 보고도 지속적으로 축적되고 있다.
그렇지만 한문(학) 수업에서 迂廻의 경로를 거치며 複眼 혹은 증강현실(Augmented Reality, AR)과 같은 결실을 얻는 일의 주된 방도가 현대의 매체를 斷章取義하여 활용하는 길밖에 없을까. 특히 한문학과 전공 수업이라면, 한문(학)을 배우고 이해하는 과정과 내용 그 내부에서 에둘러감으로써 시간과 거리가 다소 늘어나더라도 학습의 기반을 더욱 넓게 다지고, 한문학을 성립시키는 요소이거나 한문학과 밀접한 관련이 있되 그동안 소외되어온 분야와 주제를 다룸으로써 교수와 학습에 힘과 품이 좀 더 들더라도 한문학의 根底와 外緣을 함께 살펴보아야 하지 않을까. 본고는 이와 같은 自問自答을 4개의 전공 교과목 ― <한문학과 문화유산>, <한문독해의 첫걸음>, <맹자읽기>, <한문학과 자연과학>에 적용해본 것에 대한 보고이다.

영어초록

Since I took a lecture at the university, I have been conducting the class with the intention and method of ‘doing Sinographic literatures with something that is not Sinographic literatures, seeing something that is not Sinographic literatures with Sinographic literatures’. As part of that, films and other video materials have been steadily used in Chinese character and Sinographic Literature lectures opened as major and liberal arts courses. Since the 2020s, as the proportion of videos in the production and distribution of knowledge and information has increased, media such as movies, dramas, and YouTube contents have become important aids in Sinographic literatures education in university, and reports of class cases using them are constantly accumulating.
However, is the only way to get results such as double-eyes that make us see something that is not Sinographic literatures with Sinographic literatures or Augmented Reality(AR) through a detour that leads to Sinographic literatures with something that is not Sinographic literatures by relying on modern media such as movies? Especially for Sinographic literatures major classes, shouldn’t we strengthen the foundation of Sinographic literatures and Sinographic literatures learning even if the time and distance increase slightly by bypassing the process of learning and understanding Sinographic literatures? In addition, even if teaching and learning are more difficult, shouldn't we deal with fields and topics that have been marginalized even though they are closely related to Sinographic literatures or must be learned when studying Sinographic literatures as an element that establishes Sinographic literatures so that we can grasp the fundamentals and extensions of Sinographic literatures together? This paper is a report on the application of such advisory answers to two major subjects: <Classical Chinese Literature and Cultural Heritage>, <First Step to Sinographic Literatures>, <Reading in The Works of Mencius> and <Sinographic Literatures and Science>.
