    초록

    Purpose: The purpose of this study is to scientifically verify the effectiveness of 6 weeks of Reformer and mat Pilates exercise on ankle muscle function and performance in patients with ankle sprain surgery.
    Method: The subjects were 16 women and 14 men who wished to participate voluntarily among patients who underwent ankle sprain surgery. The subjects were assigned to three groups of 10 people for each group; the Reformer Pilates exercise group (RPEG), the Mat Pilates exercise group (MPEG), and the control group (CG).
    Results: First, the change in the foot function index (FFI) decreased after 6 weeks. Second, both the Eversion and Inversion muscle strength changes at an angular velocity of 60°/sec were increased, and the change in the Reformer Pilates group was large. In addition, there were significant differences in the difference between the measurement periods and the interaction between the groups and the period for the Eversion, and significant differences were found for the Inversion between the groups, between the measurement periods, and the interaction between the groups and the period. Third, both the Eversion and Inversion muscle endurance changes at an angular velocity of 120°/sec increased, and the change in the Reformer Pilates group was large. In addition, there were significant differences between the groups and the measurement period for the Eversion and significant differences were found for the Inversion between groups, between measurement periods, and interactions between groups and periods. Fourth, as for the change in the eccentric muscle ratio at an angular velocity of 60°/sec, the change in the Reformer Pilates group compared to the mat Pilates exercise group and the control group was larger in the Eversion, and there was a significant difference only in the difference ebtween the time periods. Compared to the Reformer Pilates group and the control group, the change of th emat Pilates group was the smallest in th e case, and the difference between the groups and the measuremen tperiod. Interactions between groups and periods were both significant. Fifth, as for the change in the angular velocity of 120°/sec, it was found that there was a significant difference only in the differenceb etween the measurement periods for the Eversion and the change in the mat Pilates group compared to eth Reformer Pilates group and the control group. It was found to be small, and it was found to be signcifaint in the difference between the group s and the measurement period.
    Conclusion: Based on these results, Pilates exercise using the Reformer ahs a positive effect on the foo t function index (FFI), muscle strength, muscular functional perofrmance and muscle ratio change of ankle sprain surgery patients.
