대학생의 진로소명이 진로준비행동에 미치는 영향: 진로결정자기효능감의 매개효과를 중심으로 (The Relationship between Career Calling and Career Preparation Behavior of Korean College Students: Focusing on Mediating Effect of Career Decision Self-Efficacy)

초록

본 연구는 대학생의 진로소명이 진로준비행동에 미치는 영향을 탐색하고, 그 관계에서 진로결정자기효능감의 매개효과를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구에 참여한 대상은 한국 대학생 188명이었고, 이들의 진로소명, 진로준비행동, 진로결정자기효능감을 자기보고식 설문조사를 통해 측정하였다. 연구의 자료는 Hayes의 Process Macro의 방법으로 매개효과를 검증하였다. 연구 결과로는 첫째, 진로소명과 그 하위요인(초월적 부름, 목적/의미, 친사회적 지향), 진로결정자기효능감, 진로준비행동은 유의미한 정적상관을 나타냈다. 둘째, 대학생의 인구통계학적 변인(학년, 성별, 전공계열)을 통제하고 진로소명 전체와 진로준비행동의 관계에서 진로결정자기효능감은 완전매개효과를 보였고, 진로소명 중 목적/의미와 진로준비행동의 관계에서 진로결정자기효능감은 부분매개효과를 보였다. 마지막으로 진로소명 중 초월적 부름과 친사회적 지향이 진로준비행동에 미치는 영향에서 진로결정자기효능감은 유의미한 간접효과를 나타냈다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구는 대학생을 대상으로 한 진로상담에서의 시사점을 논의하였다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating role of career decision self-efficacy on the relationship between career calling and career preparation behavior of Korean college students. For this purpose, 188 Korean college students participated in this study, and their levels of career calling, career preparation behavior and career decision self-efficacy were assessed. We utilized Hayes(2013) Process Macro tool to analyze the data. The results showed that total career calling and its’ subdimensions (transcend summons, purpose/meaning, prosocial orientation) showed significant and positive correlations between career preparation behavior and career decision self-efficacy. Mediation analysis, conducted separately for total calling and each subdimension of career calling, revealed that career decision self-efficacy fully mediated relationship between total career calling and career preparation behavior, and partially mediated the relation between purpose/meaning and career preparation behavior. Also, career decision self-efficacy showed significant indirect effects on the relationship between transcend summons and career preparation behavior, and between prosocial orientation and career preparation behavior. With the finding of the study, we proposed implications, recommendation, and limitation for future research.
