애니메이션에 나타난 추리 서사 전개 특징 연구-<명탐정 코난> 극장용 시리즈를 중심으로- (A Study on the Characteristics of the Development of Mystery Stories in the Animation –Centered on the “Detective Conan” Theater Series Animation–)

초록

탐정, 범인, 희생자의 세 가지 인물 유형이 나오고 어떠한 사건이 일어나며 그 사건을 해결하는 과정을 그린 추리 서사는 오래전부터 소설, 영화, 연극 등 다양한 형태의 콘텐츠로 제작이 되어 왔으며, 관객들로부터 많은 사랑을 받아 왔다. 애니메이션에서도 마찬가지로 여러 가지 추리 서사를 가진 작품들이 제 작되었으며 좋은 흥행성적을 내왔는데, 그 중 대표적인 추리 서사 애니메이션 으로는 <명탐정 코난> 시리즈가 있다.
<명탐정 코난>은 일본의 아오야마 고쇼가 그린 추리 만화로, 1994년 연 재를 시작한 후 1996년에 애니메이션 시리즈로 제작이 되어 많은 사랑을 받 아온 애니메이션 시리즈이다. <명탐정 코난>은 TV시리즈 이외에도 극장용 애니메이션으로도 제작되었는데, 1997년 1기인 <시한장치의 마천루>가 개 봉한 이래 28년 동안 코로나가 유행이던 한 해를 빼놓고 매해 새로운 극장용 에피소드가 발표되어 상영된 장수 극장용 시리즈이다.
<명탐정 코난>의 서사는 전형적인 추리 서사로 사건을 중심으로 코난과 주변 인물들이 얽히고설켜 사건을 풀어나가는 형태를 취하고 있으며, 애니메 이션이라는 특징상 이를 잘 풀어내기 위한 여러 가지 장치를 사용하고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 <명탐정 코난> 극장용 애니메이션 25편을 분석함으로써 추리 서사를 돕기 위해 <명탐정 코난>에서 사용한 방법들을 알아내고자 하였다.
분석 결과 <명탐정 코난> 극장용 시리즈에서는 추리 서사를 진행하기 위 해 여러 가지 방법을 사용하고 있었으며, 이는 검은 범인 캐릭터의 사용, 다양 한 고정 캐릭터와 일회성 캐릭터의 사용, 여러 가지 배경의 사용, 액션 장면의 삽입, 한정된 종류의 범죄방식 등이다. 이는 크게 애니메이션만이 할 수 있는 방식, 특정 영화적 요소의 전략적 활용 등으로 나눌 수 있으며, 다양한 형태로 추리 서사의 진행을 돕고 있었다. 한편으로는 28년간 만들어져 온 시리즈의 특성상 시대의 변화에 따른 특징도 있을 것이라 보았으나 유의미한 점들은 보 이지 않았는데, 이를 통해 <명탐정 코난> 극장용 애니메이션 시리즈가 자신만 의 확고한 원칙들을 가지고 매 에피소드 전개 방식에 큰 변화 없이 추리 서사 를 만들어오고 있음을 알 수 있었다.

The mystery narrative, which depicts three types of characters, detective, and victim, and what kind of incident occurs and the process of solving the case, has long been produced in various forms of content such as novels, movies, and plays, and has been loved by the audience. Similarly, works with various mystery narratives have been produced in animation and have shown good box office performance, among which the representative mystery narrative animation is the <Detective Conan> series.
<Detective Conan> is a mystery cartoon drawn by Japan’s Gosho Aoyama and has been loved since it was produced as an animation series in 1996 after it began to be serialized in 1994. In addition to the TV series, <Detective Conan> was also produced as an animation for theaters, and it is a long-lived theater series in which new theatrical episodes have been released and screened every year except for the year when the Corona was populated for 28 years since the release of the first period, <Machonru of Time Limits> in 1997.
The narrative of <Detective Conan> is a typical mystery narrative, and it takes the form of solving the case by intertwining Conan and the surrounding people, and due to the characteristics of animation, various devices are used to solve this problem well. Therefore, this study attempted to find out the methods used in <Detective Conan> to help the mystery narrative by analyzing 25 animations for the theater of <Detective Conan>.
As a result of the analysis, various methods were used to proceed with the mystery narrative in the <Detective Conan> theater series, including the use of black criminal characters, the use of various fixed and one-off characters, the use of various backgrounds, the insertion of action scenes, and limited types of criminal methods. This can be largely divided into ways that only animation can do, strategic use of specific cinematic elements, etc., and has helped the progress of the mystery narrative in various forms. On the other hand, the characteristics of the series that have been made for 28 years were considered to have characteristics according to the changes of the times, but no significant points were seen, indicating that the animation series for the <Detective Conan> theater series has been creating a mystery narrative without significant changes in the way each episode is developed with its own firm principles.
