초록

This study aims to clarify the formal and functional criteria for forming noun phrase conjunction constructions and to classify them according to their semantic features based on such criteria. While many previous studies have focused primarily on formal criteria such as noun particles, i.e., josa, this study considers the conjunction of noun phrases resulting from juxtaposition of noun phrases that share equal syntactic and semantic statuses, as is required by their common predicate. The study views previously identified indicators of noun phrase conjunction as adding not only to the formal domain of noun phrase conjunction constructions, but also to differences in meaning and other subtle semantic nuances such as modality.
Based on these criteria, the study examines previously identified examples of noun phrase conjunction constructions and classifies them into logical conjunctions or logical disjunctions in accordance with our criteria for noun phrase conjunction constructions. The study also introduces logical conjunction of two negatives and the logical conjunction of a positive antecedent and a negative postcedent in the process.
