우리말의 부정문을 가려잡는 조사 연구 (A study on the particles to select the negative sentences in Korean)

초록

이 논의에서는 조사 중에 부정문에서만 적격하게 쓰이는 조사를 선정하고, 이에 해당하는 각 조사의 통사적 특성과 의미 기능을 규명하였다. 부정문을 가려잡는 조사로는 ‘밖에’, ‘이라고는’, ‘커녕’, ‘은커녕’이 선정되었고, 부정과 관련된 조사로는 ‘인들’이 선정되었다.
‘밖에’는, 형식적으로는 부정문에 해당하지만 내재적으로는 긍정의 의미적 기능을 나타낸다. 극히 일부 형식상 긍정문이지만 부정의 의미 기능을 나타내는 반어법 문장에서 쓰이는 통사적 특성을 지닌다. ‘밖에’는 단순 부정이나 능력 부정을 가리지 않으며, 부정어 ‘아니다’, ‘없다’, ‘모르다’를 가려잡을 수 있다.
‘이라고는’은 보조사 ‘이라고’와 ‘는’이 결합과정을 거쳐 도출된 합성조사로, 부정문을 가려잡는 통사적 특성을 지닌다. ‘이라고는’은 단순 부정이나 능력 부정을 가리지 않으며, 부정어 중에 ‘없다’를 가려잡는다. 보조사 ‘뿐’이 쓰인 긍정문에서도 적격하지만, 내재적으로 부정의 의미를 함의한다.
‘커녕’은 통사적 구성 ‘A커녕 B도/조차/마저 부정’으로 주로 쓰인다. A와 B는 같은 의미 부류에 속하는 단어로, A보다는 B가 덜 하거나, 못하거나, 안 좋은 것을 나타낸다. 뒤에 놓이는 부정의 수식 영역은 B에만 영향을 미치는 것이 아니라 A에도 영향을 미친다. ‘A커녕’은 ‘A+(조사) Vst-기커녕’으로 의미상 별 차이 없이 바꾸어 쓸 수 있다.
‘은커녕’은 통사적 구성 ‘A는커녕 B도/조차/마저 부정’으로 주로 쓰이며, ‘커녕’과 용법 및 의미가 대체로 일치한다. ‘커녕’의 힘줌말에 해당한다.
‘인들’은 반어법을 실현하는 의문문을 가려잡는다. 형식상 부정문지만 내재적으로 긍정문에 해당하거나, 형식상 긍정문지만 내재적으로 부정문에 해당하는 문장을 가려잡는다. 극히 일부 형식상 긍정의 서술문이지만 내재적으로 부정의 서술문으로 해석되는 문장을 가려잡는다.

영어초록

In this paper, we selected particles that was used only in negative sentences among the particles, and identified the syntactic and semantic functions of each of the particles. In the particles to select the negative sentence, 'bakke', 'iragoneun', 'kheonyeong', 'eunkheonyeong' were selected and 'indeul' were selected by particle related to negative.
'Bakke' is formally a negation, but implicitly represents a semantic function of affirmation. Although there are some formally positive sentences, they have the syntactic properties used in the meaning of negation. 'Bakke' does not discriminate between simple negation and ability negation, and it can be selected with negative words, 'anida', 'eopsda' and 'moreuda'.
'Iragoneun' is a compound particle derived from the combination of 'irago' and 'neun', and has a syntactical characteristic that selects negative sentences. 'Iragoneun' is used in simple negative sentences and ability negative sentences, and is selected negative word 'eopsda'. In this case, it implies the meaning of negative in the implied sense.
'Kheonyeong' is mainly used as a syntactic composition 'A-kheonyeong B-do/jocha/majeo negation'. A and B are words belonging to the same semantic class, indicating that B is less, less well, or worse than A. The area of the negative expression that lies behind does not only affect B but also A. 'A-kheonyeong' can be replaced 'A + (particle) Vst-gikheonyeong', which can be used without any difference in meaning.
'Eunkheonyeong' is mainly used as a syntactic composition 'A-eunkheonyeong B-do/jocha/majeo negation'. It corresponds to the power of 'kheonyeong'.
'Indeul' can be used in the interrogative sentences that realizes the irony. It is a formally negative sentence, but implicitly corresponds to a positive sentence, or a formally positive sentence, but intrinsically implies a negative sentence. It selects a sentence that is interpreted as an implicitly statement of negation, although it is formally a statement of affirmation.
