초록

위니캇의 ‘놀이의 심리학’이 엄마와 아이 사이의 신뢰를 기초로 하는상호 주관적 경험의 심리적 공간을 주목하는 것처럼, 몰트만의 ‘놀이의 신학’은 신적 존재와 신자 사이의 믿음의 관계를 기초로 하는 상호 주관적 경험의 영적인 공간에 주목한다. 대상관계이론의 관점에서, 아이는 건강한삶을 위하여 엄마와의 사랑의 관계에서 발생하는 정서적 산소가 필요한것처럼, 기독교 영성의 관점에서, 신자는 믿음의 삶을 위하여 신적 존재와의 사랑의 관계에서 발생하는 영적인 산소가 매우 필요하다. 필자는 “놀이”의 개념을 사용하여 ‘엄마와 아이의 관계’를 강조하는 심리학적 측면과‘하나님과 인간의 관계’를 강조하는 신학적 측면의 상호 연관성을 이해하고자 한다.

영어초록

The purpose of this writing is to examine the correlation between Winnicott’s psychology of play and Moltmann’s theology of play by using the lens of mutually-informing interdisciplinary approach. Play is a kind of essential form which presents ‘the relationship between mother and child’ as well as ‘the relationship between God and the believer.’ Play fosters both the formation of human relatedness such as ‘the mother-child matrix,’ and the formation of ‘the God-human matrix.’ Within the contexts of accomplishing play, a person is able to get an ability to experience himself/herself, to experience other persons, and to experience the divine. While forming the intimate relationships between God and the believer, God becomes a transitional Being and a good-enough Being. Both Winnicott’s psychology of play and Moltmann’s theology of play provide the correlational elements which consist of the play of loving relationships, the play of creativity and vitality, the play of freedom and healing, and the playof caring and celebration.
The concept of “play” contributes to establish the interdisciplinary conversation between Winnicott’s psychology of play and Moltmann’s theology of play. This interdisciplinary conversation helps us to explore the mutually-informing relation between the psychological aspect of ‘the mother-child dyad’ and the religious aspect of ‘the God-human dyad.’ Both pastoral psychology and Christian spirituality of play have a common task to realize the value of mutually-presented play space of ‘the relational God, the relational self, and the relational community,’ to recover ‘the ability to play,’ and to recover ‘the ability to be related.’
