『滿鮮日報』의 젠더적 특성과 의미 - 수기와 시를 중심으로 (The meaning of gender in Manseonilbo)

초록

Japan owed the power evoking the world war such as the Chinese-Japanese War and the Pacific War to the leading position in Manchukuo. It is unusual that the ruling wanted to decorate the Manchukuo as an independent country, not as a colony or puppet state. But Manchukuo is a colony and puppet state, really. So the rights and interests of Joseon residents in Manchuria could not be assured. Women Joseon residents were treated discriminately more than men.
The Manseonilbo『滿鮮日報』that was published in Manchukuo by Joseon language reflected some image of Joseon residents. But this newspaper didn’t focus it's mind on women Joseon residents, so it didn’t have lots of articles about women Joseon residents. A few articles were interested in women.
But series of notes, Women who stand at a crossroads「十字路에 彷徨하는 女人들」by name focused on women Joseon residents. It is very special case, and then important too. This research paper studied these notes and poetry about woman life. This is because these texts showed a trend and a point of view about『滿鮮日報』.
Women characters of「十字路에 彷徨하는 女人들」were interested in love and a marriage only. Also they regarded their chastity very highly. This fact was forced by men of the nation. This opinion was reflected in the newspaper. Lots of women who read and heard this newspaper worried about violation the chastity.
The poetry of about woman life in the newspaper showed a few types of women characters, barmaids, mothers & wives and border rangers. These cases were based on patriarchy. They worked and sacrificed her lives for their family. The poets sympathized with or respected her attitude and lives.
Consequently,『滿鮮日報』played an important role of insisting on women doing, they say, right doing. Women were made to be the chaste and modest, to be sacrificed. This reason is women Joseon residents were remained not the public sphere of political activity but the private sphere associated with family and domestic life.
