대학 내 외국인 유학생 대상 상호동료튜터링 프로그램 연구 - 실제 운영 사례를 중심으로 - (A Study of Reciprocal Peer Tutoring Program for International Students in University: Focused on actual operation cases)

초록

The purpose of this study is to propose a reciprocal peer tutoring program as a extracurricular program for solving the problem of international students, and to examine the actual operation cases. The ‘reciprocal peer tutoring program’ for international students is largely aimed at ‘academic adaptation’ and ‘life adaptation’. ‘Academic adaptation’ helps students self-directed learning such as acquire academic skills and time management. It can lead to success of majors and liberal arts learning by showing synergy effect of learning through collaborative learning. ‘Life adaptation’ is to help understand university life, Korean lifestyle, and psychological stability and adaptation, leading to interpersonal and cultural exchanges. In other words, this program is a program that can enhance academic ability through the autonomous exchange of mutual learning among multinational undergraduates, and at the same time, to enhance the understanding of various cultures. Actually, the official name of the program run by P University is ‘academic purpose reciprocal tutoring program <Nanum tutoring>’. The students who participated in the program understood the purpose of the program with voluntary participation and actively participated in the program. As can be seen from the results of the satisfaction questionnaire survey, the students ‘satisfaction survey was high, and the students’ subjective responses confirmed the positive effect of the program on the students. The results of this study can be used as basic data for the operation of customized programs for international students of the university and it will be helpful for the operation of extracurricular curriculum for international students.
